does age matter?

Like many have already stated, age is just a number but up to a point as aging does happen faster after 70 unless you have great genes, are healthy, or decide to have a little plastic help. I think the couple needs to look good together and not have people think that they are mother/son or father/daughter. They also need to know and appreciate each other's time period or be willing to learn. But with that said, there are younger people with old souls and older people with young ones, which is often obvious when you first meet them. And oft times, only children have the old souls, so they tend to prefer someone older.
For me personally, I recently got out of a relationship that had a 19 year age difference, but when we were together, people really did not notice that much of a gap. He was an old soul and even as a teenager dated older women, and because of his old soul, he loved black and white movies, and even knew more movie stars from back then, than I did. He also loved early rock n roll and was a WWII aficionado. We knew each other for almost 12 years and became a couple for 8. However, we had to part ways not due to age, but because there was no way I would move to Europe nor he to the USA and the LDR had lost its point. SO, my advice is for those out there who are contemplating dating someone older or someone younger, look at the person, and not necessarily the age. |

Solo travelling
|
|
I have traveled to a few countries solo and really enjoyed doing so as I am basically an introvert but with spurts of extroversion as I can easily talk to strangers when I want to. However, I made some net friends before going to each country, so I would have someone at my destination to really get to know and who could show me the sites/teach me the ropes as well as help me if I got into trouble. And oddly enough, most of them are still friends even after 15 years and have come to visit me. I adore traveling alone but have made sure the places I went to were safe for single women.
And all I can say to those who are not sure is JUST DO IT BECAUSE "life is not measured by the number of breaths we take- but by the moments that take our breath away." |
