So...I work in a casino. I've been there about 3 months now and been asked out 4 times. Each time, I've said that I'm not interested in dating anyone I work with. 3 of the guys are in security, and I work in Food & Beverage, so they've all said "we don't really work together!" trying to use that as an excuse to get me to go out. I've stuck with my reasons and turned them down.

A few weeks ago, I was joking with one of the security guys when I was walking by taking beer and wine to a bar. He asked where I was going with that, and I responded "your house". He asked what else I was bringing. I said a movie. He asked what else. I said "me". He said "that's what I wanted to hear". I assumed it was a joke, since everyone laughs and flirts here. A few times since then, he's said "I haven't forgotten about that movie". I just laughed it off.

2 days ago we were talking and he asked for my number. Without hesitating, I gave it to him. He said he'd call me later, which was cool. About 5 minutes later, I get a text from him. We've been texting and talking pretty much non stop since then. He makes me laugh, and he's adorable. He's 13 years younger than I am. I have no problem with this. He's black. I've never dated a black man before, but again, I have no problem with this.

We have huge scheduling conflicts. We both work nights...6pm-2am. But..he has Thursday/Friday off, and I have Sunday/Monday off. He actually requested a monday off just so we could go out. Omg...so sweet.

We talked until 3am this morning...then our phones died cuz we had been talking and texting so much during the night. This morning, I sent him a text just saying "Good morning, sunshine". He responded with "good morning" and I haven't heard from him since. Now...it's his day off and he goes to school as well as works, so I know he has a busy life. I'm not concerned that I haven't heard anything else from him.

What's got me twisted is that I want to contact him. Text. Call. Email. Whatever. It's that "newness" thing that makes me want to just know he's thinking of me as much as I'm thinking of him.

Also....since I've turned down 4 guys with the excuse that I won't date someone I work with..how is that going to look if I end up dating this guy?



I know this is long, and I'm not really expecting a response....sometimes writing just helps me work thru things.
