Ok, I have been doing some research and there are 2 festivals in Dallas area in May that sound pretty fun. There is Mayfest:
Mayfest Apr 30-May 3. Enjoy rides, games, art, and food along the beautiful Trinity River. Six stages will provide a variety of live music. A Battle of the Bands will be held for local talent. The Mayfest Run will be held on May 2 and has a USATF-certified 10k and 5k and a 1k fun run for the kids. Mayfest is celebrated in Trinity Park between I-30 and West Lancaster Avenue in Fort Worth. Admission costs $8 for adults, $5 for children 6-12, children 5 and under get in free. and Taste Addison: Taste Addison May 8-10. Fri 5 p.m.-midnight, Sat noon-midnight, Sun noon-6 p.m. Enjoy food, music, art, and carnival rides. Taste Addison will be held in Addison Circle Park at 4970 Addison Circle Drive in Addison. Admission for adults is $10 after 5 p.m., $5 before 5 p.m. Parking is free at the corner of Dallas Parkway and Arapaho Road. Discount tickets can be purchased at Metroplex Tom Thumbs. Here is the website I found all of this at: http://dallas.about.com/od/festivalsparades/tp/Fest05.htm I would love some feedback! |

Krupa, sitkarain, kojak, dan99, mirror, tina, cuppy, to name a few. I find most everyone's posts interesting to some extent. There are a few I won't even go into the thread if they're posting there though if I can help it. Yep, she listed some more really good ones. There is honestly just a really great, interesting group on here. |

Wow! I would definitely say something to him. Chances are, he doesn't know and should. She sounds like an immature, insecure girl and needs to get over the fact that he has friends of the opposite sex.

what is not too hot? lol She is right about Austin! It is definitely the place to be. Multiple fabulous hospitals that are always hiring. I love the whole feel of Austin, it is extremely laid back, diverse and artistic. On the same note though, you know you're still in Texas. It's absolutely beautiful there! As far as the weather goes, not too hot would be 95 or so. That is about average for the dead middle of the summer. It does get above 100 a few days every year and it does get below freezing for a couple of weeks every year though, so there's a little bit of everything. |

when I was not living in Texas I missed bluebell icecream What?!?!?! No blue bell outside of Texas? That was every field trip from 1st through 8th grade! Good ole Brenham! If this is true, Blue Bell is definitely what the rest of the country is missing out on! |

There are tons of state jobs available right now, it's job security. Try this site: accesshr.hhsc.state.tx.us
Also TdCJ (Texas Dept. of Criminal Justice) is ALWAYS hiring and they have good hire on bonuses as well. Just search TDCJ in google! Good luck! |

For those of you who have one glued to your head 24/7, or allegedly "need" it for your job,....y'all need to find a new line of work. For some people, there is absolutely no way to get around having one on you at all times for their job. I am one of those people and I absolutely love my job. Sometimes, it's a necessity. |

You're right I probably could, but don't want to. lol I really don't even use my cell as much as other people prob I actually do leave my cell home if I'm out going for a walk which I do just about everyday Gosh, I feel like I need a Cell Phones Anonymous meeting right about now. I go through about 6000 minutes a month and probably 10K texts. Thank god for the company cell and unlimited everything. And don't get me wrong, I don't enjoy being on the phone that much, 80% of it is necessary. I would be so screwed without mine though. |
