It was during the large Irish migration and they were discriminated against based on their poverty status and Roman Catholic beliefs. Did everyone forget about this? There were signs in stores saying "No Irish need apply."

The point is ... immigration happens. America is a land of diversity and saying "Go back where you came from!" is an old mentality.

Irish Immigrants didn't push their religion or cut off folk's heads.

Really, can't grasp why a woman would support a woman abusing occult.

Sadist, maybe?laugh laugh

they don't understand, shes only 22 years old... hopefully she won't have to learn the hard way

Ah HA!
So, you did eyeball her profile! Ya' pervert!!laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh

And how are Muslims pushing their religion? Last time I checked, the last 10 or so people that told me I was going to hell were all Christians.

They aren't a "woman abusing occult", either. Once again, fed by the media. You can find lines in the Christian Bible supporting the stoning of women and that women are "lesser than men" ;

"Let the women learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression." (I Timothy 2:11-14)"

Should I hate all Christians, too?

America is a progressive country and its structure made it easy for women to fight for their rights, whereas in Iran for example it's a bit harder to do this. It wasn't too long ago that women in the 1900's did not have the same rights as men and were treated as property ... so don't get too far up on your white shiny horse. Not to mention that most middle eastern countries do not qualify as developed nations and like many countries that do not fall into this category, their punishment for crimes are heinous and religious based.

My age has nothing to do with my ability to learn, but seeing how you have been unable to provide rebuttal for anything I say, I suppose you'll just have to hold onto it as your "victory". Congrats, I was born in 1987, victory is yours.

What kind of spineless country has America become? Oh, I mean why is America becoming so "politically correct?" I hope they burn them all. Its a book of evil, my Iranian sister-in-law will admit that. Why is it ok for them to burn our flag? I guess that's ok huh? I suppose the 9-11 attacks were ok too huh? Stop being such jellyfish. Burn that piece of crap ragmag in the name of Nick Berg. Remember him? He was beheaded by the members of the "faith" most of you posters are defending.

Oh but I guess THAT was ok too huh?

Have you ever actually read the Koran? My Iranian male friend would disagree with you along with my multiple Muslim friends.

You do realize why they burn our flag, correct? The media here paint Muslims to be some extremists and over there Americans are painted in the media as attempting to exterminate them. Yes. It's amazing what the media can do.

Also, blaming the 1+ billion followers of Islam for the actions of 19 ... is a little ridiculous, don't you think? In a way, the people who flew into our towers on 9/11 succeeded a bit. They have caused civil unrest, they have stirred hate and religious intolerance, their actions led to legislation that eroded some of our rights, and they ruptured our economy. ... Didn't think people would fall into it so easily, though. My mistake.

Summation: Religion != Terrorism.

19? there were 19 suicide bombers YESTERDAY....

Can you provide the news article that discusses these "19 Suicide Bombers" from 9-7-2010? I mean, I read CNN for a good hour yesterday and did not come across anything related to such an event.

Marzieh Vahid-Dastjerdi was appointed by Ahmadinejad to be Iran's Minister of Health and Medical Education and this was in 2009.

A completely unnecessary and offensive act. What will burning it achieve besides making Muslim Americans, citizens of this country, feel even more uncomfortable (which is cruel) and offending an entire region? It's not a step towards peace, just a childish action with some shock factor.
