I sure do have the whole student pinned down to a tea
Its just the way I have been taught. Plus, there is too much to learn with so little time. Last year I read at least a 100 journal articles...talk about something to put you sleep. Only read a half dozen books, mostly on economic thought and methodology. |

Wow Sweetie you are tall. We are at eye level
Personally, I am not intimated by successful women. I get turned off if someone is too driven and too materialistic if they do not have time to enjoy the simple things in life. We are seeing a breakdown in traditional gender roles, and some people can handle it and others cannot. What is Oprah deal? She is successful, does she have a man? |

I would be interested in your opinion on it if you read it.
To tell you the truth I have not read much books by dead famous economics. I have have read quite a few books history of economic thought. I did read a short book by Galbriath once....I forgot the name, but it was about economic development. |

The evolution of macroeconomics is fascinating and Keynes was the impetus. I have not read any of Keynes works. Have you? |

That is a tough question. Like any Macroeconomic school of thought, I cheery picked certain ideas.
I like Keynes and he was certainly a character. He brought a lot of revolutionary ideas to the table during the Great Depression era and his is book Theory of...Money. |

He is the man! Without him this country would have been founded on a different set of principles. He has such a strong character and never comprised it, like many hypocritical politicians and others. That is one of the reasons Paine is not remembered as a Fouding Father and a true American Patriot.

Roth IRA. It is funded solely by my poor ass. I am a perpetual grad student. I probably won't get my first real job until my early 30's
Paine is not overrated. As James Monroe said, "Washington's sword would have been weilded in vain had it not been for the pen of Paine" |

If you have anything to invest, invest it. Compunding interest is a power to behold.
I agree with BayAreaGal, that it is important to establish a good work ethic. |
