With the onset of the World Wide Web, and Windows 95, the world quickly evolved into a broad, near instantaneous connected planet. Then with the introduction of the smartphone, interactive networking became part of the social dynamic.
Instead of confining ourselves to our local tribe to find mutual compatibility, we now have the opportunity to express, portray and proffer interests, common goals and relational desires to a vast connected spectrum. While by prior century standards, the distance relationship may seem doomed to failure, as we develop and mature online protocols and interrelationship finesse, one's "love of their life" is a mere day's travel away. Millennials don't think in antiquated 20th century methods of social interaction and networking. Their dynamic reaches well beyond the 40-50 mile radius of their dwelling. Those of us who created and developed this internetwork believed that broadening our choices would, eventually, bring this planet's residents a harmony not thought possible a mere 50 years ago. If you use, and maintain, the outdated (even puritanical) 20th century thought processes of how social life is defined then your confining yourself to limited choices within a small geographic sphere. I, personally, want to travel the world wide web in search of the one kindred spirit who sees the world as more than their corner cafe, church group or singles club. JMHO |
