WOW! It seems that what took OBAMA/OPRAH & their media friends 17 mths to do, our little darlings McCain/Palin did in 7 days. ![]() ![]() McCain Camp to Leave Convention With $200 Million, Aide Says By Jonathan D. Salant Sept. 5 (Bloomberg) -- John McCain's campaign expects to leave the Republican National Convention with $200 million in the bank and be able to match the Democrats' spending in the next two months, an aide said. McCain will depart from the St. Paul, Minnesota, convention with $84.1 million in federal funds and the Republican National Committee will have about $125 million, the campaign aide said, speaking on condition of anonymity. Fundraisers are working to bring in another $80 million to $100 million over the next two months, the aide said. With an increase in fundraising following McCain's choice of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate, Republicans say they are no longer in danger of being swamped by Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama's campaign cash. ``The money game is essentially off the table now,'' said Eddie Mahe, a former deputy chairman of the Republican National Committee. Obama, 47, has raised more than $400 million for his presidential campaign. Since clinching the nomination in June, he has raised about $80 million a month for his campaign and the Democratic National Committee. His fundraising goal, if met, may mean $100 million more to spend on the campaign than the Republicans. Clinton Fundraisers At the Democratic National Convention in Denver last month, Obama aides met with many of those who raised more than $200 million for New York Senator Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign and asked them to help. ``They went in and said, `Look, we can't do this without you. We need you,''' said former Democratic National Committee National Chairman Steve Grossman, a former Clinton fundraiser who is now working for Obama. Many of Obama's more than 2 million donors have given less than the maximum $2,300, and Obama's campaign sent e-mails appealing for more donations after Palin's convention speech Sept. 3. ``What you didn't hear from the Republicans at their convention is a single new idea about how to make the health- care system work, get our economy moving for the middle class, or improve education,'' Obama wrote. ``Just attacks -- on me, and on you.'' The campaign reported taking in $10 million after Palin's speech, the most it ever raised in one day. Palin Effect ``Sarah Palin's attacks have rallied our supporters in ways we never expected,'' Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton said. McCain fundraisers say Palin, who supports gun owners' rights and opposes abortion rights, has caused formerly recalcitrant Republicans to open their checkbooks. ``She's energized the base,'' said former New York Senator Alfonse D'Amato, who has raised at least $250,000 for McCain, 72. ``Money will not be a problem.'' The day after her speech, Palin, 44, signed a fundraising e-mail. ``Your support is very important as we face the Obama Democrats and their vicious attacks,'' Palin wrote. In the last two days, the Republican National Committee has taken in $17 million, a campaign aide said. McCain reported raising $10 million just after the Aug. 29 announcement of Palin as his vice-presidential choice; the campaign took in more than $47 million in August, its biggest fundraising month. Obama has yet to disclose his August figures, due at the Federal Election Commission Sept. 20. McCain can no longer take in private donations except to pay certain legal and accounting costs, so all the money raised goes to the national party and some state parties. In addition, McCain can turn over any leftover money in his primary account to the Republican National Committee. ``There will be more than enough funds to do everything that needs to be done,'' Mahe said. ``They will not have to make a decision not to do something because of money.'' how about take a bus or ride a bike-? Paris made a car that drives on compressed air.
Yeah, compressed air- how much does it cost to put compressed air in your car---eh next to NOTHING. You won't see them promoting anything that doesn't have some kind of trail of cash flow going into the government. This car was put out in 2002 I believe. I first heard of it about 6 months to a year ago(?) Is it strange how the best environmental/economical choices never make much news? Is that on the website you're promoting?? http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/2281011.stm |

Nothing is leaked.
It is intentional, there is an agenda to everything that is done. It is done for diversion of a bigger issue they want to seem small 'compared to this' when it comes out, or if it's out and the impact hasn't fully hit yet this will make that more trivial. People are less likely to worry about a scandal when focusing on 'the supposed leak.' Or it was done for a polling. Politicians do work with media. |

Barack Obama was born on August 4, 1961, in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Barack Obama, Sr., a Black Kenyan of Nyang’oma Kogelo, Siaya District, Kenya, and Ann Dunham, a White American from Wichita, Kansas.[1] His parents met while attending the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where his father was a foreign student.[2] They separated when he was two years old and later divorced.[3] Obama's father returned to Kenya and saw him only once more before dying in an automobile accident in 1982.[4] After her divorce, Dunham married Lolo Soetoro, and the family moved to Soetoro's home country of Indonesia in 1967, where Obama attended local schools in Jakarta until he was ten years old. He then returned to Honolulu to live with his maternal grandparents while attending Punahou School from the fifth grade in 1971 until his graduation from high school in 1979 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barack_Obama what this deos not say that in indonesia..it is 80% a muslim nation. and he went to the local schools. what do u think a ten year old boy could learn at a muslim taught school?? and ya what if he was infulenced by a radical muslim such as his stepfather... not a chance hes gotting my vote. not today. and perhaps not in ten more years. You did not just use wikipedia as a source.. OH my... Everyone right now, go to wikipedia look up anything random-- dog, cat, fish.. whatever you want... then look at the top of the page the tabs--- see the tab edit?? ANYONE has the ability to edit any admission on wikipedia.. hit the edit tab.. go ahead edit dog- say it is green and jumps like a frog.. it will submit-- That is the first thing you learn in College .. NEVER use Wikipedia as a source, Every professor tells you if you use it in a citing they won't count it is not credible, and it will be a points deduction. During orientation in the library they take you through the computer systems and show you Wikipedia FIRST.. and say NEVER use it as a source-- then they edit a page for example.. ok, that is sourcing 101 jeez.. sourcing wikipedia-now I seen everything |

When people want to spew out emotional stands it speaks for itself.
If it was a factual statement a 'Credible Sourced' link would be provided with their comment. And not a 'link to nowhere.' Credible is Credible. Some random person that has no credentials is not credible. People that speak or type blindly without first hand knowledge know-that isn't impressive to people who do have knowledge of facts. 1. From personal research. 2. From college research for political science essays. 3. From spending more time exploring as many sides of the coin one could until their eyes burn-each and every day--- every free moment one gets. Hey which isn't mounds of time every day.. But it is a collective amount of time. So it isn't impressive when someone is CAPS LOCK about non issues. Taking emotional stands as if they are in a playground fighting over which brother is bigger and better and gonna whoop the other one. Isn't impressive the !!!!! and hahahhaaha ? h after a doesn't mean it's funny. It means you have nothing to say meaningful or debatable that someone with knowledge might find a bit stimulating to respond to. Try throwing a credible link up after you make a stand. Source it. ?? Can't? Then you are another person riding a coat tail is how that is viewed. Cheers- |

you chose to put a profile on a free public site so naturally people will be viewing your profile rather you like it or not my suggestion would be to just ignore it because they are not causing you any harm in just viewing your profile I didn't ask for a suggestion. Unsolicited advice... Ty |

You can post suggestions in the Feedback forum just above this one, Cali66. As for preemptive blocks, we're not sure that we want to go in that direction. It has been brought up before, though, and we won't rule it out completely. I believe as long as you allow faceless people to roam around without restrictions it would seem only reasonable the options you would give your members would be more substantial. A community site where you put up your own profile, pics and information should have those settings to allow you basic freedoms of comfortability. Maybe more would be more willing to post pictures if they had more setting options. |

Where is the suggestion area???
There is a problem when you can't block people from your profile. If the only way is to do it through a email or IM that is not effective. I don't particularly care for random viewers with no pics constantly on my page.. It is the same people... over and over. If the block was accessible I'd feel at least in some control of my own profile. If not I will have to remove everything. I am taking all my pics down tonight. party on! |

Palin is not running for President- the only thing these issues bring to mind is McCain. This is about him and what he stands for and the choices he is making in regards to his running mate. He has now disarmed his whole campaign. If they had one thing they drilled into ever persons head about Obama was his inexperience. His biggest angle on Obama was inexperience. McCain has went on and on about having a running mate that could run the country on day 1, if something happened to him. A Major portion of McCain's fight is no longer accessible. If he chooses to go that route he will look very hypocritical. Cindy's video during the RNC was good. I really liked that. Looks like she has done some amazing things. But after she spoke for about 4-7 mins I felt strangely horrified by her. Her demeanor, the way she tilted her head and that awkward smile to go with it.. it didn't seem genuine.. but more script. Anyone watch the RNC? I am confused and feeling like I just witnessed a weird occurrence- Most everyone was a suit on the floor, and the vibe was strange, and their topics and focus's were so unnerving. I got the same vibe from the democratic one too. I guess your either a dem or rep. No such thing as independents anymore =( I'm neither a registered dem or repub. I make conscious decisions on who I feel is going to bat in the least divisive way--- and most openly way for us. I surely don't want 4 more years of us spiraling down. Both my teens will both be 18 in the next year and a half. I do not want my son to be under McCain and fighting his wars. My daughter will be in the Military next year and I will just die if McCain gets elected. This is not a game to me, I have informed/educated myself on these candidates. I am in college and working towards my Bachelors in Science--Work my arse off- single parent. I am a state licensed healthcare worker. I got stuff to say. I am older and this is my 4th go at college. I graduated from my last college, but the other two times I was young and didn't care. I waited many years to go back into school. I sit and go over classes I need to take and can choose from a pretty big list :/ I'm going somewhere with this :D I took political science over the summer so I could learn a little more about politics. My professor is a lobbyist, among major accomplishments on his list-he is experienced in politics. I learned a great deal, besides that I spend lots of time researching. I swing on no ones coat tail....... |

"Ma'am we need to know, we need to know where to put you." I say, "put me?" He says, "yes, you might need to be relocated to the less patriotic side of the U.S., we are segregating anyone that isn't a Republican." *shivers* Anyone else get that weird vibe? |

Palin Speech Fact-check

There are many credible sources for information on all the candidates.
Many do not want to spend time researching the candidates. It is easier to read through postings, and what other's say. Some buy into certain news affiliations. Without any knowledge of how politics works-or very little it is easy to blind side people that have even above average intelligence. If they are not politics savy, and don't know how media, big business, politics are run hand in hand at some point in the game it is all garbled. And people think they are getting some hot scoop from some credible person. psssst.. guess what they said, and they said.. People are baited constantly with 'so called leaks,' leaks are for the most part always intentional. Any time a leak is sent out into the media it is a diversion story so people don't focus on what they should be really focusing on, or a leak is used for polling purposes. They throw a ('my inside source told me that Romney was on the ticket for VP,' [pure example] on a breaking news cover online CNN) a what if story, would the voters approve?.....tell us how you feel- then at end of article never fails- Comments open........... those are polls. And polls for who? yes. We are toyed with in the name of a poll, intentional leaks for diversion on what we all should be focusing on?? which is?? And let's just agree on this. What has Palin been doing pretty darn splendidly? Being a good speaker. Ya think? McCain needed that, and her scandals for diversion off his 5, 6 ,7 8, 9, 10, houses... and well probably other things now he is worried about them digging up, now that the Campaign is officially under way. Now, you all can go to, to one of these places and look at various references to facts. These are just more interactive and less tedious ways to look up quick facts. I know people should find their own sources of information. So I won't give up my goods. But check out this site- www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/ make sure to pay attention to the Candidates PAC donations.... www.fec.gov Cheers- |
