Little Nancy was in the garden filling in a hole
when her neighbor peered over the fence. Interested
in what the cheeky-faced youngster was doing, he
politely asked, " What are you up to there, Nancy? "

"My goldfish died," replied Nancy tearfully,
without looking up, " and I've just buried
him. " The neighbor was concerned, " That's an awfully big hole for a
goldfish isn't it?"

Nancy patted down the last heap of earth then
replied, "That's because he's inside
your fukcing cat."

I'm speaking for myself. Perhaps you should try the same.flowerforyou

oh, I do. I speak from observing the mainstream culture (media). IF a politician said they would promise to try, the media would tear them apart as not being 'leadership' material. Any hint of humility (after the elections) and the media tears a candidate apert.

The mainstream wants a cowboy in office, one who will demand and order and one with whom you are either 'with or against'...sort of thing.

I am just one man and I don't represent the mainstream anything. But I do speak honestly and expect the same from the leaders I vote into office to represent my interests.

Little Johnny was in the classroom on a Friday afternoon, and the Teacher had a game for the kids. Okay class. Now I'm going to say a famous quote, and the first person to tell me who said that quote, can have Monday off," said the teacher.

"To be, or not to be. That is the question," ...said the teacher.

Little Din Don Chow at the front of the class called out .........."Shakespeare!"

Well done!" said the teacher. "You can have Monday off."

No thank you miss. I am of Vietnamese origin and it is in our culture to study as hard as we can, so I will be in here on Monday studying hard", said little Din Don Chow.

Okay," said the teacher. The next quote is....."I HAD A DREAM!"

Little Fri Som Kat also at the front yelled out "Martin Luther King!"

Well done!" said the teacher. "You can have Monday off."

No thank you miss. I am of Chinese origin and we also don't take time off school. Education is everything to us, so I will be in on Monday studying hard too, "said little Fri Som Kat.

Okay," said the teacher. Then she heard a voice from the back of the classroom..............."F*cking Asians".

"Who said that?" yelled the teacher in an angry tone.

Pauline Hanson!" yelled little Johnny....."See ya Tuesday"

lLp said it best , political 'promises' are not actual promises to deliver,, they are promises to ATTEMPT to persuade several hundred members of government to deliver

No a political promise is just telling the voters what they want to hear knowing damn well that your not going to follow through on them.

Which by definition is a LIE

lol,, now we can prove what others KNOW?

Im surrounded by such mindreaders...lol

You don't have to be a mind reader. Simply listen to the words that come from their mouths and hold them accountable. Why do liberals try to complicate the truth? It's very simple; mean what you say and say what you mean. That's called integrity. Some Americans still have it and require it of their leaders, as well.

There is enough responsibility to go around. I call it intelligence though. One person cant promise what four hundred people(congress) will do, only what they are going to try to PERSUADE them to do.

Then they should be forthright and honest instead of lying to their constituents.

Christine O'Donnell, like most of the other tea party candidates represent a refreshing change to politics as usual. She has been demonized and insulted by the mainstream because she, like other tea party candidates are a threat to career politicians.
In my view, the mere fact that a candidate is NOT a career politician puts them head and shoulders above the rest. Our founders never intended for public office to be a career. It was supposed to be a service and a sacrifice to our country made for a short time, after which the person would resume their own profession or call in life.
Career politicians should ALL be ousted!

What is refreshing about Christine O'Donnell? She seems to stick her foot in her mouth more often than not. She's said/done nothing that would make me think she'd be a good candidate. Perhaps you can shed some light on why she's so refreshing.

Watch the linked video in my post, she was easily the winner of that debate.

Edit: And she focused on the issue, while Coons couldn't stop talking about his opponent's past and claiming that she was incoherent or lying, while he was the only one caught in a lie.

I've already seen it and I don't see what you see.

Coonst is clearly a career politician with his head up the arse of the current administrations liberal agenda, bent on bringing this country to a socialist state.

I asked you what made her refreshing, not why you didn't like him. The way you answered says a lot, as you couldn't give a reason why she was actually refreshing other than you want him out.

She like the other tea party candidates is refreshing because she is standing up for the constitution and actually pointing out that our political leaders have taken an oath to protect and uphold it on our behalf. Any more questions?

Sorry, that sounds like an attempt at further eroding and redefining what people should expect from their leaders. A promise is a promise. If you can't or don't intend to keep them keep your mouth closed Otherwise it's called "lying." Plain and simple.

My sentiments precisely!

laugh

More people have probably died due to fire than guns. From atiquity fire was used as a weapon to burn villages, boats, food crops, property and people.

A lot of people would have died if they did not have guns for self defense or hunting.

Guns and fire both weapons both tools.

Yes fire can be "used" as a weapon as can just about anything, but a gun "is" a weapon. That was the purpose of its invention and that is its primary function.

There are guns in my home and they are used every week target shooting and in hunting during season.......probably have approx. 15 different guns and ammo......but I feel safe......and I have reason to not feel safe esp. Right now and am glad they are here....but I practice archery as well...but. have protected my self with my hands against a man punched him in the gut knocked the air out of him then punched him in the gonads and ran got away just because you have a gun or don't have a gun knowing how to protect yourself is important and a frying pan a lamp baseball bat or many other things could be used as a weapon....in any manner if it is the path chosen

My best friend and his family live in Missoula, Montana. He recently sent me some stats obtained from local sources, check this;
The "average" number of firearms in the home of a Missoula resident is 34. Home invasions in this town since 2008 - Zero. Also, whereas we can obtain a permit to carry a concealed weapon here in Georgia where I live, in Missoula they carry regularly their in clear view of one another in public. Check the violent crime and murder stats in Missoula, Mt. LOL!!! These people respect one another and there is peace!

look its to late to ban guns, there are to many people in this country that have guns that shouldnt.and this "law abiding citizen" owning a gun is BS cause they can snap and go postal and kill more people in a matter of minutes, than a serial killer kills in years.so basically you need to protect yourself against anyone, not just criminals

I suppose we could "what if" all day long. The bottom line is that good people own guns to protect themselves from anyone who would endeavor to do them harm. You can define good anyway you like.

It depends on the individual. I lost my fiance' to suicide and it has taken me nearly three years to get a handle on that loss and move on.
Talking about it was helpful and today I have no problem with discussing it. I have not been in a dating situation though, because I was not ready for that. Now that I am, I have no problem talking about the issue.
once again, please be careful of the feelings of your date about discussing another woman. WE want to be the focus of your attention - especially in the beginning of things

I look to my gal pals or sister to discuss issues left over from past romances. I wouldn't dream of bringing these things up wiht a new mannoway

While I respect your position, what I endured has changed my life for the rest of my life. I would expect that any woman with whom I eventually form any kind of meaningful bond would learn the inner depths of my life, including my past.

Being able to talk about it, moves it from that
inviolate part of the brain to the part that has
learned to cope, I think.

Sad for your loss..happy for your continued journey.

Thank you for your kind words.
