I understand what you mean. I have been hurt several times and finally seems my heart has chosen to guard itself. Each time the new man does something the ex did then which I didn't pay attention to then the heart is so quick to point it out. And once they get close, I withdraw without noticing... Its so hard for me to accept that not everyone would be a complete jerk just because several had been so to me.
