anyone owning a snowmobile should like this
I don't have a snowmobile, but I do have a 4WD Landcruiser... and I had fun going to work on Christmas Day....first car on the road

parts of I-80 in the west are still listed as travel is not advised I don't have anybody going that far until middle of next week.... roads should be OK by then. I'm not complaining....we haven't had a real winter in a long time. We were due... |

Wow...I just stepped out front to see my rediscovered driveway, where the 3 ft drifts used to be....and came back to xray photography...Hmmm. Anybody know what happened to Betty? I talked to my brother in Dubuque today, and he mentioned that they had been getting alot of rain and just 2 inches of snow. He forsees no problem driving to Omaha next Tuesday. On the other hand....we have 3 foot drifts, I-80 just reopened to the west, and I am having trouble finding a way to get my son back to Lincoln so he can return to work. |

I'm freezing my butt here in Wisconsin. My tractor was nice and cozy, I even turned on the A/C We often have to turn on the AC in the rooms at work, since the boiler is turned up so high that the halls are like saunas...and most of us can't work that way....

It is not over for everybody.
My brothers will be in with their families to celebrate Christmas with our father. Because of his health situation, this may be the last time for him. He is sooo looking forward to it...the visiting, the meal, and the singing of Christmas songs. So I can't relax yet. This part of Christmas is more important than the small gift exchange and dinner the rest of us had Christmas eve. Yes, it is stressful, but this one is worth it.
