Falling leaves covered me..
But my mind is wandering.. I'm not aware of things around me.. And my thoughts return to you.. My flannel keeps me warm tonight.. Faded levis, torn in the knee.. Kindling the fire to start it up again.. Drinking cider from a homemade mug.. Autumn thoughts were all I had.. Quilted blankets on the floor.. Sun peaks through a sliver of space.. Throwing shadows on the wall.. Cozy colors fill the room.. Different shades fill my mood.. Earth and patchouli fill the air.. Darkness falls like the leaves.. The moon shines through a sliver of space.. Broken from the sun.. Curtains shiver from chilly breezes.. Blowing out a single flame.. Yet I'm not frightened.. Still the moon shines through.. And I almost forget the presence of another one.. Until the morning sun rises so gently.. |
