I'm 5 foot 10 and plenty of men want a small woman, not a 'big' woman. I didn't choose to be this tall either and I'd rather be a tad shorter. Very difficult for me to get a date, cos most men aren't tall enough.
Does that mean I should be hurt or offended when someone says they don't want a tall woman?

I'm not so sure on how it was put...but I agree... I am 5'11 its hard to find a man. Most tall men like the smaller women and its hard to be seen with a shorter man without looking like an amazon.
