How encouraging is it when someone tells another person that they are deceived by Say-tin or are doomed to hell? Or how about when one tells another that unless they believe exactly the way that they do, they're not a Christian and shouldn't be in this forum? |

Several of Jeremiah's verses are quite eye-opening IMO. Jeremiah 7:21-23 New King James Version (NKJV) 21 Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: “Add your burnt offerings to your sacrifices and eat meat. 22 For I did not speak to your fathers, or command them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices. 23 But this is what I commanded them, saying, ‘Obey My voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be My people. And walk in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well with you.’ Those verses above show that the sacrificial system imposed by Moses was false and never commanded. Jeremiah 8:8-9 New International Version (NIV) 8 “‘How can you say, “We are wise, for we have the law of the LORD,” when actually the lying pen of the scribes has handled it falsely? 9 The wise will be put to shame; they will be dismayed and trapped. Since they have rejected the word of the LORD, what kind of wisdom do they have? Those verses are evidence that the so-called "law of the Lord" were forged by the scribes. And now my favorite as quoted by Cerise: God says that His truth sounds like “foolishness” to those who are lost, but to believers it is the very words of life (1 Corinthians 1:18). I love it when people call my words "foolish"... |

Yes there are Christian men out here. I am one and believe me there are plenty of lost souls out here in this world. There are roles men and women are to hold for balance and when people don't stay in these roles issues in the home arises bc there not living in gods purpose. Two people must be equally yokes to build a life together and last. Both being believers is key and living there lives with god as center is what a Christian person needs so both people need to believe or it's unbalanced. Something of value is only valuable is someone values it. 1 Corinthians 7:10-17 King James Version (KJV) 10 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: 11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife. 12 But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away. 13 And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him. 14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy. 15 But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace. 16 For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife? 17 But as God hath distributed to every man, as the Lord hath called every one, so let him walk. And so ordain I in all churches. Peter_Pan, Why post this response? What then of the man who loves his wife in his mind yet abuses her? Shall then the wife not depart? Why also then does your profile show your marital status of separated? You intent to reconcile to follow your statement above? Sometimes people also need to read the scripture in context and not just pull out what they need. This was set forth because in the region and day a man would cast his wife out because he desired another woman and/or because she would displease him for some pathetic reason and once she was cast out, she wasn't protected any longer. A divorced woman had a very hard life. Very hard. Good luck on your reconciliation. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

It looks like if the Bible is innerrant, then God is in danger of hell fire. Matthew 5:22 King James Version (KJV) 22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. Luke 12:20 King James Version (KJV) 20 But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? |

Interesting, I think the 'topics' should have a mature christian moderator, in my opinion. But that right there would cause problems. There are too many people who don't believe that I'm Christian no matter how many Biblical verses I present to support my position. Christianity isn't about following rules from a book, it's about what's in the heart... |

still, this is not a cpu issue, it is a memory issue or perhaps a problem with your hard drive. The cpu is simply a port for your memory, other than that, it's only an interface to your peripherals, correct? Please do correct me if i'm wrong. Ads simply would not be able to corrupt that, unless of course they contain a virus, in which our system would have already detected. I suspect one of your memory cards may have failed. This happened to me, just recently. If you have any other particulars, i would like to hear them, because i love solving problems, and learning. I never said it was a CPU issue. It is a flash-based ad issue. Yes global flood evidence everywhere, in China and in Russia and in Africa and in Australia and even in little ole New Zealand... and of course, in the Word of God C'mon Peter Pan, get away from those fairy tales. Which fairy tales? The one that tells me to seek the truth? The one that tells me to prove all things? Perhaps you want me to ignore the one that instructs me to discern the truth and reject myths? Perhaps you wish for me to ignore the wise words that tell me to use my mind? Matthew 22:36-38 New International Version (NIV) 36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” 37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. Mark 12:29-31 New International Version (NIV) 29 “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. 30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ 31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” Luke 10:25-28 New International Version (NIV) 25 On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?” 26 “What is written in the Law?” he replied. “How do you read it?” 27 He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” 28 “You have answered correctly,” Jesus replied. “Do this and you will live.” Isaiah 5:20-21 New International Version (NIV) 20 Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. 21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight. C'mon Elihu, get away from those pagan doctrines of men... Jeremiah 8:8 New International Version (NIV) 8 “‘How can you say, “We are wise, for we have the law of the Lord,” when actually the lying pen of the scribes has handled it falsely? |

Hey Peter, Cerise is not questioning the truth of Psalm 104. Its your interpretation of it that is faulty. There is nothing in Psalm 104 that says that the entire Psalm is about creation. The Psalmist talks of many things in this passage of Scripture. To be sure, Creation is mentioned, but so are the cedars of Lebanon v16, sailing ships v26, God touching the mountains to make them smoke v32 and the consuming of the wicked from the earth v35. When the whole Psalm is considered, your taking of verses 5-9 as a 'proof' of your theory simply exposes you as one who is taking Scripture out of the context from which it has its true meaning. The Psalm actually covers from Creation to the End of the Age and verses 5-9 are references to the Global Flood. Psalm 104 New King James Version (NKJV) 1 Bless the Lord, O my soul! O Lord my God, You are very great: You are clothed with honor and majesty, 2 Who cover Yourself with light as with a garment, Who stretch out the heavens like a curtain. 3 He lays the beams of His upper chambers in the waters, Who makes the clouds His chariot, Who walks on the wings of the wind, 4 Who makes His angels spirits, His ministers a flame of fire. 5 You who laid the foundations of the earth, So that it should not be moved forever, 6 You covered it with the deep as with a garment; The waters stood above the mountains. 7 At Your rebuke they fled; At the voice of Your thunder they hastened away. 8 They went up over the mountains; They went down into the valleys, To the place which You founded for them. 9 You have set a boundary that they may not pass over, That they may not return to cover the earth. 10 He sends the springs into the valleys; They flow among the hills. 11 They give drink to every beast of the field; The wild donkeys quench their thirst. 12 By them the birds of the heavens have their home; They sing among the branches. 13 He waters the hills from His upper chambers; The earth is satisfied with the fruit of Your works. 14 He causes the grass to grow for the cattle, And vegetation for the service of man, That he may bring forth food from the earth, 15 And wine that makes glad the heart of man, Oil to make his face shine, And bread which strengthens man’s heart. 16 The trees of the Lord are full of sap, The cedars of Lebanon which He planted, 17 Where the birds make their nests; The stork has her home in the fir trees. 18 The high hills are for the wild goats; The cliffs are a refuge for the rock badgers. 19 He appointed the moon for seasons; The sun knows its going down. 20 You make darkness, and it is night, In which all the beasts of the forest creep about. 21 The young lions roar after their prey, And seek their food from God. 22 When the sun rises, they gather together And lie down in their dens. 23 Man goes out to his work And to his labor until the evening. 24 O Lord, how manifold are Your works! In wisdom You have made them all. The earth is full of Your possessions— 25 This great and wide sea, In which are innumerable teeming things, Living things both small and great. 26 There the ships sail about; There is that Leviathan Which You have made to play there. 27 These all wait for You, That You may give them their food in due season. 28 What You give them they gather in; You open Your hand, they are filled with good. 29 You hide Your face, they are troubled; You take away their breath, they die and return to their dust. 30 You send forth Your Spirit, they are created; And You renew the face of the earth. 31 May the glory of the Lord endure forever; May the Lord rejoice in His works. 32 He looks on the earth, and it trembles; He touches the hills, and they smoke. 33 I will sing to the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. 34 May my meditation be sweet to Him; I will be glad in the Lord. 35 May sinners be consumed from the earth, And the wicked be no more. Bless the Lord, O my soul! Praise the Lord! "Beware of private interpretations of the Word. When it has a plain meaning, don't go beyond it and you will find yourself being taught by God and not by man." You should learn to heed your own advice... |

I can't believe this thread flipped from argument power over out of context OP. Yeah, the words were as written, but you had the read the whole chapter to get an inkling of the context. Much like Salmon Rushdie book on Islam, "Satanic verses." The Bible has them too if you don't understand what you are reading. My 2 cents worth. Absolutely true. This is where all the supposedly contradicitons come from as well. They read one verse, then go with it and not pay attention to the surrounding verses. Cowboy the contradictions come from the snake. Some people follow the allure of the snake that eats its own tail and so miss the Majestic Wonder that is the Reality that is God. I give you example from your own words. "True, God has no ending. That is why he is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. There is no before God and will be no after God. " This is the reasoning warned of by the symbol of the Snake that Eats its Own Tail. Following such reasoning leads to a Temporal Loop of endless duration (it has no exit point, nor does it reach to the world beyond the circle contained by the body of the snake. Jesus is the Alpha and Omega within the cycle of man. Alpha of the Cycle of Glory, Omega of the Cycle of Adam. If you place Jesus in the position of God you envoke the Snake. God is outside the cycle. God Is. There is no begining or end to God. God just IS. If you can not understand that concept then you will be trapped forever in the Circle of the Snake. Allways seeking the Forgivness of Christ for the wispering of the Snake in the Garden. Yet all you need do is accept the Grace Given by God through Christ... and step out of the circle. Yeshua's own words and even his name confirm what AdventureBegins says. |

So Cerise, Do your post imply that Psalm 104 is incorrect? Peter, now you know I have full confidence in God's Word...so what is your underlying question? Cerise, there is no "underlying" question, what I asked is what I meant. I thought that since this topic seemed to be a direct response to my posts that you knew exactly what was meant. In case the Spirit of Truth confused my meaning to you, I'll post the relevant verses for you to either acknowledge or deny: Psalm 104:5-9 King James Version (KJV) 5 Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever. 6 Thou coveredst it with the deep as with a garment: the waters stood above the mountains. 7 At thy rebuke they fled; at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away. 8 They go up by the mountains; they go down by the valleys unto the place which thou hast founded for them. 9 Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over; that they turn not again to cover the earth. |

Geeeezzz, what a bunch of crap. If your computer is that old then you have a lot of problems. 1. Your registry is probably a total mess by now. 2. You do not and will not have enough memory to run many of today's program. My guess is you have 2 gigs or less of memory (probably less) and you may or may not have the space for 2 more gig of memory. It will depend on your motherboard. If you do have the space, 2 more gigs would solve a lot of your problems. 3.Your processor is an old 32bit P4. It has been cooking at around 180F for a lot of years. It is slowing down. Best solution: Throw it out the window and watch it bounce down the driveway. OR Put all them memory in that it will take. cost $60 to $100. Start removing programs that you can live without. ![]() ![]() And yes, I have removed pretty much everything. I dont have crap downloaded in my programs...REALLY! I just want this damn Internet Explorer to stop saying its running with no add ons, when all the add ons are enabled. If I do that, THEN I can use my Windows Update again. Yes, I have great virus and maleware protection, and ThreatFire, and I run them daily, along with defrag, disk cleanup, clean out cache, and CC Cleaner,,,which is why my computer still runs good being this old, and having all original parts except for one memory stick. Find your run box and type into it "iexplore" (without quotes) and hit enter. |

First off,
I've been repairing PC's for almost 20 years so I know your assertation is most assuredly false. http://search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt=AhKTFXeCBoOZ3uXez6FTcvSbvZx4?p=flash+ads+using+100%25+CPU&toggle=1&cop=mss&ei=UTF-8&fr=yfp-t-701 I have verified that the ad in question is the culprit by 1. Scrolling the ad off the screen. (and) 2. By refreshing or browsing to another page until another ad is delivered. For the record, I have 3 gigs of RAM with 2 gigs available and only 24 total running processes. |
