I confess I got a freezer full of chocolate candy that I don't need but I seem to find myself snacking on it late at night anyway!

Got my 1st computer at the age of 40, a lil late ...

I'd no typing skills, which remains ...

I had a 20 min. tutorial from an 8 yr old, and I was off ...

From there? I'm completely self taught, and an admitted techno dweebtard ... ever a newbie ...

Science geek that I am, I employ it towards TONS of research, what a tool!!!

Mingle is my very 1st, and only, online site to participate in ... shades
"techno dweebtard" hmmmmm I think I like that! I feel kinda the same way but I HAD a few skills but not so much any more or I'll type like I txt which get on ppl's nrvs qick <see what I mean? LoL

Lets see ...I remember ...I'm only 26 and memory is already foggy! lol I wanna say mid 90's is when I started playing with a comp then went to a boys home, while there I took a key boarding class and I got to be great at it while learning other stuff about the computer. I was typing with both hands even though not the best and I was relatively quick with a computer. I left the boys home, life got busy and I didn't use 1 that often for a few years then I bought 1 and things turned for the worse,I started "pecking" the keys again and forgot how to set up certain programs and other stuff I had learned from someone that showed me stuff that only computer tech's would know. Serious case of brain rot from those years of partying to hard I guess lol. A buddy I grew up with, his father worked on base doing computer related stuff for years, the company would send him out of town every 6 months or so to learn the new stuff...he remembers back in the day when computers were the size of a small house using vacuum tubes and what not as part of the computer.

I've never even seen 1 myself but it would be pretty sweet to step back in time to see 1 of those very 1st computers happy

Cool, may be the vacuum tubed computers have no value to this generation kids.... bt its still will be an honor for me to even see it....

Yes exactly....Broke was a big part of it...made me creative. A dish I came up with using Ramen noodles, drained with out seasoning, rinsed to cool, using a little ranch dressing mixed with abit of the seasoning (it works with all types of meats depending on season of ramon noodle) stir it in the noodles mixing in chopped mushroom or what ever else would sound good thrown in....stir it all together and chow down!

I get in those moods of getting in the kitchen and getting straight out crazy trying new things, mixing this and that, and adding this and that. Although I can never seem to remember to take exact measurements so when something turns out fantastic I can't recreate it. Out of all the stuff I've thrown together "experimental cooking", I have found that in small amounts (adding more or less depending on taste of that person), that creamy peanut butter when added to gravy's or anything of that nature sets a stage thats surprising as well as mind opening to the possibilities!

LoL I can't stand the chain stuff...co-workers and friends of mine came together in a web of "I'm bored and ur my target" type stuff, we'll txt 1 another something stupid like "pssst I farted...it said your name...quick make a wish" or "hey I see you...your crack is showin" etc etc etc. It makes a long drawn out day pretty amusing!
