ya know what, I would've said the same thing a few short months ago. I
would've never dreamed there was a man who would do things like this for

Jeez, everybody takes things so personally nowadays. There's not a
dime's worth of difference in any of em, so it's really not worth
fighting over.

I'm more of a libertarian, but that party will never make it in this
country, not enough common sense left in the populace.

rich, white liberals decided to co-opt it for their own agendas.

of what you said in your last post that wasn't c&p had no relation to
anything I said in mine.

No, I don't think we should be separated into nationalities. And I don't
think our government ought to support anyone perpetually, only those in
dire need, and that even might be better handled by other means,
churches and charitable organizations. What private institutions do with
their money is their business, I don't care who they support.

All I was saying is that race shouldn't even be an issue anymore, the
issue is more one of class and money now. Why should a black student
from a well-to-do home get preference over a poor white student? Slavery
that happened generations ago is not the cause of the inequities now.
The government has created the perpetual underclass of the poor by
subsidizing it. There will never be equality in test scores until that
situation is remedied, which I doubt ever will be. Too many leaders,
white and black, have too much to lose if it is.

I have no ulterior motive, I'm not looking to enter college, nor is my
daughter, though she could use some assistance should she decide to. She
didn't make the grades in school to get any kind of scholarship though.
That was her fault, not society's.

I was just stating my opinion as you were, only mine came out of my head
and my experience. If you don't want to listen to others' opinions, keep
your own to yourself. I won't stoop to your level by telling you to
STFU, but you really should think about it before you go staging a
personal attack on a person that you don't even know.

Jeez Fanta, it's bad enough that we insist on separating blacks ,whites,
latinos, asians, etc. into categories, now we want blacks separated into
different categories according to whether they are "native" blacks or
1st or 2nd generation immigrants? No other group would dare try to get
away with this, or want to. Why don't we just all be people, and forget
about the labels. Isn't that what the dream was supposed to be all
about?

The waiting is the hardest part. That was a song wasn't it? But waiting
for the right time, or the right person or job or place is always better
than rushing in just to be doing something. Why hurry to the grave?

My spirit guide is within me. Sometimes I see outward signs that speak
to me, but mostly I just ask, and the answer comes to me as a feeling of
peace, or one of caution. I try not to do anything major or
life-changing when I'm confused. I wait until the way is clear. No
matter how frustrating the wait may be, I always do better when I wait
for that signal.

I've seen in on TV and stuff. Sounds dumb to me. Any opinion you can
make on a person in that short period would have to be a very shallow
one.

And what kind of masocist would want to go on a whole bunch of first

Another person can't make you happy, they can make you happier, or make
you feel it more, but you have to have the happiness inside to work
with. And you can't make someone else be happy, I spent too many years
trying to do that.

Stinkin' drunks, and by that I mean, drunks who stink, not just ones
that are too drunk.

Tx, I have no regrets for the mistakes I've made, they made me who I am
today, and I kinda like me! Every bad time I've gone through has made me
stronger. Nothing has been able to hurt me bad enough to keep me down,
not even getting run over by a car! Took me a few months to get back on
my feet from that one, but not as long as some of the emotional hurts.
But even those heal. Just have a few scars to show for it, but I'm even
proud of those!

I always say, when your head's in the clouds, make sure your feet are on
the ground.

It's ok to let yourself feel the good feelings that come with being in
love, just make sure you keep your eyes open for red flags. And make
sure you're getting what you need from the relationship, and you're not
the one doing all the giving. If you do you'll give out.

Love is about more than being in love. It's about really loving the
other person, and being loved in return. The butterflies you get from
being in love are great, but there's got to be more than that.
Butterflies fly south for the winter, and that's where your love affair
will be heading if that's all you've got.

Voice of experience here, I had to learn everything the hard way!

We've got a saying for people like that down here, "He'd climb a tree to
tell a lie bofore he's stand on the ground and tell you the truth."
