That feeling of falling in love is a very intoxicating chemical cocktail that your brain produces to increase feelings of pleasure, joy and bonding. Like any drug, however, we become used to it and it no longer produces the same reaction.
It is that chemical reaction that makes us minimize things that later drive us nuts or makes us overlook things that become blatantly obvious later. But it is also the very thing that produces excitement and butterflies, etc. There are many that would argue that the realness of love cannot begin until that manic intoxicating phase has died down. How long does that take? It is different for anyone. We can keep those feelings alive though by nurturing and encouraging the sexual polarity in the relationship. Often couples homogenize as they are together ... they become alike. It can be a definite sexual attraction killer. If you can maintain polarities of masculine - feminine the result is higher sexual attraction. I am not speaking of gender here. Even in same sex couples, one usually exhibits what would be considered more feminine traits or more masculine ones. Yes we all have both but we can show up more one way or another. Women typically have to adopt a lot of masculine traits in the workplace. What happens if they don't slip back into their femininity when she gets home? Either the man has to move more into his feminine aspects or you end up losing sexual attraction with both of you hanging out in your maleness. So men, if you want to keep it spicy for years to come, help your woman slip back into her feminine self. She'll feel way more sexy, sultry and seductive so it is a win-win! And ladies, anything you can do to make your men feel like men will go a long way to fostering those loving feelings. |

Steam Steam rose clouding the mirrors as the water pounded my soul relaxing every part of me Candles flickered as if they were dancing to the music playing in the background I was startled by the sudden stream of cool air and the accompanying noise of the door opening along with her voice soft sweet and sensual she asked, “Mind if I join you?” “Of course not” Sly smile and silken robe pooled as a cloud covering her feet gooseflesh from sudden change in temperature or was it something more? a long tanned leg forces the curtain out of the way as water droplets moist dripping on the antique tile Finger pressed to lip shhhhh as fingers dance on soapy skin and breath at once hot and cold running the course from neck to shoulder as hands encircle touching caressing wanting needing was that a ... ........ oh yes shudder ... or something like that off the cuff

Something I see over and over with the clients I coach is that if they have been in a long-term relationship, their inclination it to get back into one and it is the biggest mistake they can make.
It is important to mingle and have fun. Keep it light. Get used to being single. Plan to make friends without any expectations. When you find a connection with someone you are attracted to by all means date and enjoy. All the while, getting back to your centered position of power within yourself. That space where you are confident, know what you want and have dealt with the emotions of a relationship ending. Unless you do that ... you are most likely to settle for less that you really desire and deserve. Relax ... it's not rocket science. There are amazing men out there (and some real dip-wads too but don't let them put you off)...hold out for the great ones - there are many! Good luck!
