Again, since it was Japan that attacked Pearl Harbor, by your reasoning we had no right to be fighting in Europe.

I guess the fact that we have managed to get quite a few of the upper echelon of al-Qaeda while in Iraq has been nothing but a waste of time. As I recall, the only way we got Japan to surrender was to drop a bomb on Hiroshima and another on Nagasaki.

Using your logic, we would have skipped striking Japan at all for Pearl harbor and hit China insteadnoway After all they look the same and act the same, right?

You came to that conclusion from my post, how? You keep repeating over and over how Iraq had nothing to do with 9-11 and so we shouldn't be there. Europe had nothing to do with Pearl Harbor, so by your logic, we shouldn't have been in Europe during WWII.

Hey Jackie. I like that picture.

Thank God the generations before us we not so callously arrogent to think there words were the only solution to the world's problems. It's a cruel and viscous world out there, there is no isolation from it and to ignore it is inviting defeat....defeat against the enemy of today is certain death...

That's not entirely true. The Prime Minister of England before WWII was Neville Chamberlain. He was so proud of the fact that he was able to get a signed treaty with Hitler saying that Hitler wouldn't invade England. Chamberlain truly believed that you could reason with Hitler. Sounds familiar doesn't it?

Using that logic, since it was the Japanese that bombed Pearl Harbor, we had no business being in Europe during WWII.

If this generation had been living during WWII, we would be speaking either German or Japanese today.

I'll bet that if she were in the lead, this wouldn't be an issue.

The lower the deductible, the higher the premiums. Since you are self-employed, check into a health savings account.

Why should we raise taxes on anyone? The government can't seem to responsibly handle the money that they collect now and you want to give them more?

I have filed 31 tax returns so far. I haven't quite finished mine yet.

Obviously everyone else thinks it is painful also since only you and I are posting here. I guess it takes too much effort to have an original thought.

My head hurts and my fingers ache at the idea of having to type out an original thought.

Perhaps you just think your hands hurt. Perhaps my head hurts from thinking too much about my hands hurting.

The government isn't "giving" you anything. The stimulus package is nothing more than an advance on your refund for next year. You will have to claim this money on your tax returns next year.

Check out some good mutual funds. The risk is spread over many stocks instead of just one. A lot less risk that way. As far as gold goes, 100 years ago, an ounce of gold would buy a brand new suit. Today an ounce of gold will buy a brand new suit.

no I dont have egg on my face at all your post gives no reasone for our being in Iraq and slaughtering over a million people. It is simply laughable you call yourself a christian. flowerforyou

Spoken like a true liberal. When confronted by the truth, in direct contradiction to what you believe, always attack the person presenting the facts and avoid the facts altogether.

As I recall, we went to Iraq looking for weapons of mass destruction. Oh, that's right, Bush lied about that. If it was a lie, Clinton started that lie when he was president as was pointed out on the first page of this thread. I seem to recall that Clinton signed an executive order stating that Saddam Hussein needed to be dealt with.

I find it interesting that here we are, 4 pages into this thread, and every single one of you Bush bashers has ignored the last post on the first page.

Why does no one remember that our government once took over a brothel in Nevada, and because of their sound business practices, couldn't even manage to turn a profit with that endeavor.

THE EXPERTS AGREE GUN CONTROL WORKS.

(HITLER, STALIN, MAO TSE TUNG, ECT.)

In a little town north of Atlanta, GA called Kennesaw, they do have gun control that works. If you live there, it is illegal to not own a gun. Their crime rate is almost nonexistent. Not sure if that law is still true today, but it was years ago.

Since when is it the government's job to fix every little problem in your life? The government doesn't solve problems, it only creates them.

Actually MAC, the lenders got exactly what they deserved for trying to rip off the buyers in the first place. What do you think the term "creative financing" actually means? It usually means getting approved for a loan that you couldn't afford in the first place. Another thing that happened was people decided they could buy these homes and then resell them at a profit. Only problem is, everyone had the same idea at the same time and the market got flooded.

When the people of this country start refusing to be victims anymore, and start taking personal responsibility for their lives, then perhaps we can turn this country around.
