It is easy to "say"...but most of us can back it up!

I'm a single mother of 9. Have a few fathers for them. Long story. Plain
fact is I never belittled their fathers. My children knew their fathers
weren't around. They always know who was there for them.

At your son's age he really doesn't have comprehension of a family unit.
He just knows there are mommies and daddies. The concept of why is out
of his grasp.

Never lying is a great thing. Explaining when he's older that Dad just
isn't around is good. No excuses. No blaming. No bad mouthing. He will
realize what's up soon enough. All mine did. I didn't have to say
anything negative about them. They made that formation of thought on
their own.

You've received a lot of great advice. I am lucky enough to be dating a
wonderful man who treats my girls as his own. He gives them the love and
affection they need from a father figure. I was adopted so I also have a
different viewpoint on "who" the "real" father is.

You will be fine. Just follow what your heart tells you to say and you
can't go wrong.

girls and that's not something anyone else has ever been. They love him
too which if a first of any man I've dated. Yes, I'm in love and plan on
staying that way.Great thing is...he loves me back.

Since my adoptive mother lives in Florida and my biological mother died
when she was 35, I just want to say Happy Mother's Day to both. No
matter what you did or didn't do as a Mother, it doesn't matter. I love
you regardless. Both of you.

I also want to wish my children (all 9 of them) a Happy Mother's Day
too. That is because being their mother means the world to me.

Mothers or not...I wish you all you and yours a wonderful Mother's
Day!!! Promise to do at least just one fun thing for yourself tomorrow.
Hugs to all.

Change your ways? Depends of the subject. Change is good sometimes. If
it enriches your life with your partner, and does not subject the
relationship to steering it in the wrong direction then it's called
"compromising".

Wow, I just read this an am shocked. First time parents, fine. Nursing
was or should have been an option. AS for the apple juice...a six week
old cannot handle the juice. It causes diarhea and of course the child
would be dehydrated and the soy formula would do no good anyway. It
wouldn't really matter how much soy or regular formula the child were
fed, it would have dehydrated regardless. After raising 9 children of my
own, I know that there are signs to look out for and that should never
have been ignored. Whether the child was born at home or not, even as
new parents, "someone" else would have seen that child in the short six
weeks he did live. A family member or friend. Action should have been
taken then.

As for "beliefs" in food choices...great. Leave those for the adults who
can make their grown up decisions. Children cannot make their own. New
parents or not, the ignorance does not excuse the fact that you know
your own "first" child is in danger. Losing weight on a baby is
noted...not ignored. I have no sympathy. Unless those parents had the IQ
of a three year old, there is no excuse.

Hey gurl...working with an insurance company. Being bi-lingual helps but
since I just started....well, things are rough. Trying to get my mom to
pay the airline tickets for the kids to go back for the summer. I work
for a great company. No soliciting, so all I can tell you
is...."Quack...Quack"!!!

Kids doing well? I'm hoping to send mine to Utah for the summer and
concentrate on work...but I've never been away from them. Scary.
