Inspired By Peladac I Didnt -------- I recall when we were 7 We would steal apples from Mr. Hansons orchard You got caught and I thought for sure youd tell on me Well, you didnt Remember when you loaned me your favorite Patriots shirt And somehow I lost it I just knew you would hate me forever To my surprise, you didnt And then in High school I asked mindy to the prom Just to make you Jealous You could have let that be the end of me and you But you didnt. And I can look back and see the two of us on your porch Saying goodbye as movers filled the truck You said you would love me always and every summer return for me Life stepped in, and you didnt Just today I heard an old man saying "People today have forgotten what commitment and love is" I grabbed you by the sleeve of the old patriot shirt and kissed you deeply!!! Make no mistake gentleman, You need to SOMEHOW EVERYDAY find a way to let her know just what she means to you, be it a simple rose on the pillow one day to long awaited tickets to her favorite social event. For those who have held such a jewel and lost it, try and remember the feeling of emptiness without her? now ask yourself what would give to keep her? Then take it from there and be gentle.
