Is there a general rule?

How long should a person wait before meeting someone face to face. If living in same province, or few minutes away. Shouldn't you chat and get to know each other for awhile first or is it something that should be done right away in a public place and get any questions of attraction out of the way? I think every situation is different, and a "general rule" would probably just mess things up the way most "general rules" tend to do. I will say this -- I once met someone from a dating site two weeks after we first started communicating. That one turned out to be an arsonist, and she did NOT provide that information anywhere in her profile or in any of her pre-face-to-face comminications. So, I have waited anywhere from two weeks to almost a year to meet someone in person. It hasn't made any difference in the outcomes of the relationships. But if I ever decided to meet someone from a dating site again, I would take my time. |

I like to take time getting to know someone as much as I can before meeting, that way the first date you will feel comfortable with more to talk about because you will be familiar with each other or after awhile of talking you may decide you don't want to meet them at all. Yep! I agree! The few times I allowed myself to be rushed into a first meeting ALWAYS turned out to be a disaster! I usually email for a week or so, then if I'm comfortable enough, move it on to phone convos for at least a week...then a meeting...IN A PUBLIC PLACE! Pfffffffffffffft! |

Hi, looking for a nice man to chat with and to get to know from the NB area.

I think its sexy, manly. I like the feel of skin too though so not sure how I would feel if a mans chest was too hairy and my figers just went through hair and not feel skin. Not sure because I never experienced it. A realistic amount of chest hair is very sexy I find.

First time on any kind of site like this. Definately different. Hoping for sincere responses. No head games or rudeness. Yikes, this is a little scary. Looking forward to being part of this community. Please don't make me regret this.
