It would be nice if filtering was possible on activity of the profiles. My feeling says that over 80% has not logged on longer than 1 month ago. If you can filter them out, it saves a lot of scanning profiles.

As far as I know the "last time seen" option is only visible in the web-site view. I can't find it in the app.

It's very useful in matching if you see if your matching profile is active or not.

Needless to say that LDR has its prerequisites:

* no fake photo's
* having proper and working phones or laptops so you can make video calls
* start with the agreement both will not ask for money to the other one
* having patience

The first 3 has everything to do with protecting yourself against catfishing and scamming

But so far it did not work for me in the last years.

If the scammers gave you the bank account, the best way is to report that to the specific bank, so they can start an investigation and possibly block the bankaccount. Usually the bank have a special email address to report for phishing or scamming actions.

Often scammers "can not" even make video calls or even phone call you (due to old hardware, bad wifi, etc). So beware of that. It's one of the first red flags.

Never pay to scammers, it usually goes from bad to worse in most pathetic thoughtout scenarios.

Be aware of crypto, because it is not traceble you might sponsor criminal organisations instead of your so called lover.

Beware that police is not able to help much in this matter: Someone is asking you for money and you're so naive to give it, so what's the crime? (Yes we all know, but nevertheless)

other tricks are buying gift cards and send the code so they can be traded. (because they don't have a bank account to transfer the money to). Dont do that!

Just let ratio guide your way instead of emotions. (If one of your real friends would tell you the same kind of story, what would you say then as objective person?)
