Hello friends and family. I have a huge favor to ask of you all. I have a cousin, Gene Gardner, who lives in Grove, Oklahoma that has battled brain tumors since 1999. Unfortunately, Gene is losing his fight with cancer and is slowly being weakened by it. The preacher's wife is on a mission to do something good for Gene's birthday.
March 7 will be Gene's 25th birthday. She is circulating the following request: I have this huge dream of presenting Gene with as many birthday cards as possible for his birthday...cards have meant so much to him thru all this. I am not asking for money or gifts; all I desperately want is to give Gene a thousand birthday cards to let him know that we love him! And if not a thousand, at least 250!!! If you possibly could, would you send a card to Gene c/o Bible Baptist Church P.O. Box 450935 Grove, OK. 74345? Some of you have already sent cards, and I appreciate that so much. Here is the second part of the favor I need. Would you forward this to as many as you can on your email list? Would you print this off and share it with your churches, or anyone who would be interested in doing this?

I know Mark and Elaine's (Gene's parents) hearts are breaking as Gene gets worse, and it would mean so much to them as well, to know that so many care about their son.
I should also mention that Gene's only sibling, Dale, is serving in the army in Iraq . Maybe a school class or a Sunday school class would like to participate. I plan to put this request in the Grove paper, but time is short to get this many cards. So could you please grant me this one favor? I promise to never ask anything of any of you again!!! Thanks to all of you who will do this!! God bless you in a special way!!!

Uh, Ken? There WAS no advice given! People get so blinded by the topic, they forget how to read! I just don't want the poor girl to feel as bad as she does for something that's done and not worth feeling bad about. I'm not pro or anti anything---just not trying to kick someone when they're down like some of you....she feels bad enough!

I did read what you wrote.

I wasn't kicking her when she was down either, but she did ask for advice and you are telling her it is no big deal.
It is a big deal, wether it was crack or not. I disagree that it isn't addictive, I also dissagree that it is not harmful.
She should feel bad enough that she wouldn't want to do it again.
I am sure her uncle wouldn't want her doing it.
