The weatherman on our news station said that it was not safe. Well you can certainly trust a guy who seldom gets the weather right to give you factual information about storm safety.
In all seriousness though, the Red Cross advises Working or playing in open fields; boating, fishing, and swimming; working on heavy farm or road equipment; playing golf; taking a shower; talking on a conventional telephone; and repairing or using electrical appliances are all activities that should be avoided during storms, according to experts. So I guess the weather guy would be right for once. (Even a broken clock is right twice a day.) 
I think they left out standing under trees during storms. I thought that was bad to do. And are you making fun of my weatherman?

watch mythbusters on this one....your foot has to be near the drain and you have to be in a very old house...... Hmmm...my house was built in 1903. Do you think that is old enough?

watch mythbusters on this one....your foot has to be near the drain and you have to be in a very old house......i have a 90+ yr old hous ei just take quickies!....miss half hour shower cna be out in 5 minutes if she rushes.....careful though
