In a world so cruel and unusual
you were my paradise
With skin and eyes that would define
just what perfection could be
and a voice that would ease my soul
though contrite and in disbelief
Though by shadow we walk in lonliness
I will never forget your face
how it storms through my mind,so suddenly
and takes me back to relive the day
When eyes would fall dead upon each other
and two hearts would then combine
for a man who has lost everything in his life
I knew one day you would be mine
Still the constant fear of losing you
made you the hardest battle in my time
though words would flow like an endless rain
the convictions were in those silent nights
where nothing mattered but our exsistence
and in the arms of love we would sleep
the comfort of your body so close to mine
would somehow take on every dream
And how you would complete me without trying
my life never felt so fulfilled
the world could go on destroying itself
and I'd only be at your will
to lay down and sacrifice any thought or voice
that would flow from the mouth of me
and to blind my eyes to a future without you
my angel,my silent retreat
but as the clouds move and the skies would vanish
so too an angel would disappear
and as I gaze upon the ever changing forms of heaven
I wonder if you can hear
I've dreamt that you were looking down upon me
and felt the tears begin to fall
because it reminds me of a time life was perfect
and you were my all
I ask you with all faith and strength,always remember us
think of me in the way your heart would never
let you forget that you were loved
because every thought of you that plays in my mind
leaves nothing to come undone
I hope to someday stand beside you,my angel
in compassion,unity and love
