I am currently involved with someone I met here. Never thought I would meet someone that is so similar to me in every way!!

U never know....but currently i am interested in someone who is not on this site and actually lives 15min from me so im here for friends and its been that way for quite sometime now.

I hope too.

It's happened before and I hope it will happen again...I am still searching...my Mr. Right, my one and only, my forever and always still hasn't presented himself to me.

I've dated a lot of guys from the internet, even LDR. But I don't consider it 'dating' and I won't pull myself off being available online, until I meet the 'possible candidate' in person.

Geesh sure learned some hard lessons to get to THAT decision

I thought it might be another dating site....

I met someone on this site whom I email with regularly....but getting together anytime soon is probably unlikely as we live so far apart.....but isn't it better to get to know someone first as friends & test compatibility with the questions we ask?

Has'nt happened yet- but still hopeful!

There are a few from this site that I would say yes to date quicker than it takes for my heart to beat twice. Any one of them would make everything beautiful just by placing their hand in mine, but after daydreaming about them, reality sets in and I think about the distance that no doubt would be too great for them to overcome. Wouldn't blame them though so the forums and messages will have to be a substitute to having them close enough to hear and feel my heartbeat faster! to those I am talking about!

Yeah that is great! I met a man on another site in 2004. He lived 2 hrs away. We hit it off right from the start, we talked IM and then phone for about 5 mos we met half way went out. Then he moved to be closer to me (15 minutes). Yeah, it was a waste of time. The more I got to see him on a reg basis, the more his true colors shown. He was nothing like he was on the phone. He was a user, liar and cheater. He played me from the start. I wasted almost 4 yrs thinking he would be who he claimed to be. Yeah my fault I should of let go right after he moved here. Everything he done he blamed me said if he wouldn't of moved closer to me he would of not done the stuff he did. WTF! He still tries to hang on but I keep pushing him away. I was crushed but have moved on.

I would not especially like to meet or date anybody from this web site. Honestly, there's too much community here and not enough dating web site. I'm okay with being part of the community, but the advice I always get when I mention that I have a hard time getting a response to emails is, "Post in the forums more." No, thanks.

I think that the best use of a dating web site is to orchestrate RL meetings. You establish the bare minimum of shared interest and then set up a date. This whole business of trying to gauge compatibility via cyberspace seems like a poor idea to me.
