An 11 year old girl died here yesterday.She had a treatable diabetes,she quit breathing and died.She has not been to a doctor in 8yrs and was home schooled,due to her parents religious beliefs they did not believe in doctors.They prayed for God's healing and were ready to let her go if it was God's plan.The D.A is reviewing the case...your thoughts

they should have took her to doc and should be punished

I believe in god with the fullest of my heart but i also believe he gave us tools to use as well.. medications being one of them..

Her parents should have seeked out a modern doctor as to the fact that GOD, has never told us to STOP learning or to STAY STOPED IN TIME. If her parents got a splinter in their finger, would they not remove it, verses asking GOD to? Medicine should be looked at as we as GOD'S children have evolved to have greater abilities because of the THOUGHTS he has allowed mankind to have and TO USE, in ALL AREAS of LIFE and LIVING..and TECHNOLEGIES. I bet THEY traveled by car,,,,but THAT SAME modernization COULDN'T be USED to help their daughter LIVE?? Thats my thoughts, and mis-spellings,lol But YOU ASKED.....And im sure she walks with GOD today.

I believe in god with the fullest of my heart but i also believe he gave us tools to use as well.. medications being one of them.. well thats what you believe but not what the parents believed..dont they have a right to their beliefs? Not when it comes to manslaughter....

They absolutely have a right to their beliefs HOWEVER they have a BIGGER responsibilty to their child...this girl could have been treated and been fine..At some point didnt the parents see that their prayers werent working and her health was failing....I hope the DA decides to prosecute

oh so now you all are clamoring for the government to get involved in the religious beliefs of others?? You cant have it both ways...religious freedom is just that. Just like freedom of speech, even when its not what you think is right its still protected.... Im not saying Im for or against what happened...Im just pointing out a fact for consideration.

Faith does not mean that we have to see how people die without doing any thing,...........Faith is believe in God, and wait for his help in things that humans are not able to solve. But in that case they were able to do something.

"Freedom of Religion" allows you to worship who, what, where, when you want. It does NOT give you the right to take a life or "play God".

Faith does not mean that we have to see how people die without doing any thing,...........Faith is believe in God, and wait for his help in things that humans are not able to solve. But in that case they were able to do something. who's faith? Is yours more righteous than someone elses? These people were prepared to accept "god's will"...are you? and how does one interpret what that means???

I KNOW WHEN IT COMES TO RELIGION AND BELIEFS WE COULD GO A MILLION DIRECTIONS,BUT WERE IN 2008 SHE DID NOT HAVE TO DIE. she didnt have to but she did....before you start casting stones, make sure your windows are clean.

My windows are cleans... I take my kids to the doctor get them the meds they need to get back to being healthy and then AFTER i get home from the pharmacy I pray they get well quickly!!!

Im not clamoring for the government to get involved in religious beliefs of anyone.. im clamoring for the government to get involved in CHILD ABUSE/NEGLECT ok..so when do the rights of the children infringe on the rights of the parents..? and when do you expect the state to intervene and when does intervention become authoritarian and then facist? Its sad what happened, but what can you expect from the "land of the free?"
