Erowid... you wrote and I quote.......
"..... let me rephrase this for you, would you follow the straight and narrow if the end result at your death was the same as everyone, sinner or not....." Yes, Erowid... because I already KNOW by FAITH that God is not out to hurt me...so therefore, there are NO doubts. I have this quite CONFIDENCE in Abba Father..that He PUT in my heart when I got saved... that He WON"T go against His Word. His Word is the Same Yesterday, Today and Forever. God does not change. Or LIE. So therefore, I not only Believe in God, I also TRUST in God...like a little child So Sweetie......just so you know....God is NOT going to tell you something in His Word Today, and suddenly turn around tomorrow and say, "ahhhh shucks, Erowid...having a bad day here in eternity ....so I have changed my mind dude..too bad..you aren't gonna get saved afterall...." Nope. God and His Word DO NOT Operate that way. What God SAYS in His Word He WILL DO!!!! BUT Sadly... a lot of EARTHLY fathers DO operate this way with their children ....... and that is why soo many people today have trouble trusting in a HEAVENLY Father...when all they have to go by, is an EARTHLY father, who FAILED them miserably. But , not to worry....God isn't that way, my friend.....no... God is a God of Love..... a Love Higher than any one could ever Imagine!!! And He just wants to give you Life, and a Life MORE Abundant..that's all.. cause God Loves You that much. And obviously,so does your friend, Erowid. Sounds like you have a true friend there. |

I seldom ever touch this type of topic and youll probably never see me touch it again ,however, i had a brief discussion earlier today with a friend of mine who has been trying to convert me for years, i would like to offer up this query to all you guys, the same as i asked him, just to get your opinions or feedback...Would you really follow the rules of christianity if the threat of damnation wasnt hanging over your head? I work a spiritual program, not religious one. Don't believe in hell I believe in a loving God who would not punish me. So Damnation isn't hanging over my head. Who's your god? The one and only. Same as yours |

Jesus died for our sins and so what does that say about all sins. If that were true, then we should be able to sin all we want and still go to heaven. In answer to the initial question, I strive to always do the right thing, but none of us are perfect. I develop my own standards and make my own rules and do my best to follow them and learn from my mistakes. That's all we can do really. JB |

Jesus died for our sins and so what does that say about all sins. Jesus bore it all on the cross.....yes....so true... (but He rose again, too). And all one has to do now, is BELIEVE and RECIEVE Jesus....and what he did on that cross for us....that FREE gift of Grace given to us. The gift given has only one requirement... you have to receive it..cause the gift will not fall into your lap automatically. Here's another way of looking at it: Let's Say ...... someone left you a gift of money in his bank for you... you HEARD the money is there cause others are telling you it is .....but you have to actually BELIEVE it for YOURSELF.... that there IS money left there for you ....and then , you have to go and RECEIVE the gift of money ,left at the bank for you.....and CLAIM it for yourself. It was a Gift Left for you..so it is rightfully yours to claim ,then. But... if the money just sits in the bank, cause you REFUSE to BELIEVE there actually IS any money left there for you...and you therefore , refuse to RECIEVE the money....well..... then the gift given , won't do you any good in your life whatsoever..if you don't go and CLAIM it... and USE it in your life. And if you don't claim the gift of money left for you? It will just sit there in that bank...gathering dust....while you go on struggling in your life to make ends meet...and all the while, you could have been enjoying the fortune , that was left for you. Same with claiming and receiving what God left for us, thru Jesus Christ His Son. Claim the Gift Given....or Leave it....it's up to You. |

What threat of damination??????? I have nor would I ever Love the Lord God and His Son Jesus Christ because of damnation nor fear....I love them #1 because he Father God created me #2 because he sent his son to die for me.....think about that for a minute....a perfect man is sent from heaven to earth to live as a man....And with all the imperfection of the world...He was perfect....and he stayed that way until his last breath.....and died in order that I may have salvation....damnation heck no......being afraid....not even close.......living my life as best as I can as Jesus would......for sure........and all I can say is that my life has been wonderful and magnificent ever since I let Jesus into my heart.....and now I am his bond servant until the day I die....which also does not scare me...because I know in the end that I will be in heaven and that's my story and I am sticking to it.... |
