If we put the Biblical law into Government then the government would have to start burning witches at the stake. Stoning sinners to death, and killing unruly children.
Because keep in mind that Jesus said, “I have not come to change the laws”. So all of the laws of the Old Testament would need to be carried out in tact precisely as they were given by God. Capital punishment would be rampant and the methods used would be archaic and bloody. I think we better keep government separate from church and try to move into a more civilized future. |

seperation of church and state exist only an illusion when it is obvious that the government use religion to it's advantage because an army that fights without a moral cause are barbarians, religion gives an army a moral reason to fight beyond it's borders ...God even told George Bush to invade Iraq and Afghanistan This is true, or so Bush claims. I think he is a very dangerous and delusional man. well "JennieBean" let's first compare it to religious history before we call George W delusional because instead of God talking through a burning bush this time he talked through George Bush nice pun |

If we put the Biblical law into Government then the government would have to start burning witches at the stake. Stoning sinners to death, and killing unruly children. the first rule of society is to consider that all it's citizens are insane and in need of protection from theirselves so that is why the government must first approve the religion and pass laws to control the religion I think we better keep government separate from church and try to move into a more civilized future. well maybe if "in God we trust" was removed from all the currency ..because until then it's obvious that there is no seperation of church and state ...the currency sort of pushes that fact into people's face |

The only way to seperate the church and the state is to use a can opener.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federal_Reserve_System About "In God We Trust." Well we can't put "In Government we trust" on it." They should put: "In God, some of us Trust." |

The government allows religion because it is a great tool to control the population of believers. The government passes laws to control religion because they don't want religious Zealots (crazies) to control them or get out of control. JB |

Actually, burning the witches might not be such a bad idea. Heard they make lovely flames.
Was thinking about getting an Indiana license plate today. They have these neat blue things that say In God We Trust on them. don't know how we do it, but we do. It's a way to get a mention onto the car without resorting to a bumper sticker or some such. |

JB Otherwise, we could get a fanatical Taliban religious group. |

Only kidding about the witch burning thing. Sorry.
Bush is only delusional when he's being delusional. And I'm only not nice when I'm not being nice. How's this for mixing church and state, God Bless John McCain! And how about the ranting minister. Now there's a mix for ya. |

I am not up on how the Fed works but I know there are several here that know more than I want to know about it. It gets into that black helicopter crowd thing too much for me. |
