Violins of Violence
Bow turned Sword at moments notice.
A "young genius" unleashed,
does not always stay tamed.

The master's distracted
and young knight escapes
the bars upon bars,
and scores of noted foes.

He gallops free through whimsy,
on a horse named Arpeggio,
Till at last he is brought back
and tethered again.

He sits and plays scales,
that do not glitter like a mermaids tail.
He sits and works at tunes,
that do not move him like a phoenix cry.

But slowly, with tremulous patience,
the knight weaves his notes carefuly,
till one day, it becomes as magic,
And he is free on the plains of muse once more.

I find it really strange that you should post this just now because I'm just now learning to play arpeggios in different ways in differnet positions. They are freeing, but do required that you go back to the tether of melodic bondage eventually.



Well, that's where I'm hoping to be someday, but not yet.
