I hate the waking up alone part.

There is alot to be said positively for being single

......but in a nut shell......it sucks

Waking up alone, or waking up with "OMG, what is that?"

I have come to the conclusion that being single isn't so bad. It still sucks...but I've realized that there are just some ppl out there that absolutly can not stand to be alone. So they will jump at the first possible chance of being with a mate just to keep from being alone. I was once one of those ppl. The relationships were distarous. Guess it is better to be single and happy then in a relationship with someone with whom you are miserable with. I'm not looking for perfection....just someone who is perfect for me.

Twice I said I'd never get married again..I like the single life but..

One thing about being single, if you get hurt & need help at home, nobody there. Blew my knee out, looking at surgery, stairs all over the house. OHHH WELL, cost of being single.

I almost did that Cat...thank goodness I woke up in time. This guy was telling me all I wanted to hear including the M word....then after I changed my mind and told him, he accused me of some terrible things that weren't true. I realized he was JUST LIKE MY EX. Except, he was an alcoholic and biggest goal in life was to get on SSI and VA benefits and not have to work. At least the ex works and doesn't drink.

See there is no such thing as perfect. Just compromises, everyone is flawed.

I enjoy single, BUT, and there are a lot of them , I miss the "best friend" relationship. Gets kinda lonely sometimes, and the feminine influence in the house is quite lacking.

EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE THAT SPECIAL SOMEONE IN THEIR LIFE.I HAVE SEVERAL CHILDERN AND GRANDCHILDERN. AND THEY BRING ME MORE HAPPINESS THAN ONE MAN DESERVES.
I HAVE MY FREEDOM TO FISH AND GO AND DO AS I PLEASE. AND I HAVE HAD THIS FREEDOM FOR THEE YEARS NOW.BUT WHAT GOOD IS THIS FREEDOM IF YOU DO NOT HAVE SOMEONE TO SHARE IT WITH .
BEFORE MY WIFE PASSED 3 YEARS AGOO OUR FAVORITE TIME WAS MORNING COFFEE ON THE PATIO WATCHING THE MORNING COME TO LIFE TOGETHER .OR IN THE EVENING WATCHING THE DAY END. THEY ARE JUST AS BEAUTIFUL BUT NOW THEY CAN BE VERY LONELY SOMETIMES .IF WE WERE MEANT TO LIVE ALONE GOD WOULD HAVE LEFT ADAM OR EVE OUT ONE OR THR OTHER

YES IT HAD ITS MOMENTS.YOU TO NOT SEE TIME PASSING SO QUICKLY UNTIL THOSE MOMENTS ARE GONE. AND THEN YOU LOOK BACK AT THE WASTED TIMES. AND WISH THEY ALL COULD HAVE BEEN GOOD.WE DO NOT EVER THINK HOW MUCH A MOMENT IN TIME CAN MEAN TO US UNTIL THEY ARE GONE .BUT WITHOUT MEMORYS WE WOULD HAVE NOTHING.

I think nighttime is the worst, and waking up in the morning alone. Other than that I can handle it just fine.

Better than being dead.
But that is all.

WELL EACH TIME I HOLD ONE OF MY GRANDCHILD OR ONE OF MY CHILDERN TELL HOW MUCH THEY LOVE ME I KNOW GOD HAS BLESSED ME WITH A WONDERFUL FAMILY .ONE DAY I MAY FIND THAT HAPPINESS AGAIN .BUT FOR NOW I WILL TREASURE THE LOVE I HAVE IN MY FAMILY

I agree jim, it's the worse part. Coming home to an empty house is a close second.
