away from the glowing heat.

You told me to hold

and stop looking at my feet.

You fight for me
with your life
so I may be safe and sound.

You are the kind
that helps turn the world
the right way around.

Sometimes you're someone close to us
the ones we hold so dear.
Sometimes you're all dressed up
in your life saving gear.

But often times you leave us
before we see your face
and we are left in wonderment
with no one to even thank.

Either way there is just one name
that can be bestowed upon them.
