i was wondering if there is a such of a program that would help with application fees, as its hard to find a place and you have to fork out the money all the time and you dont have it to spare, my daughter is needing to move by april 15th, and she still looking but she doesnt have the money to pay for the application fees, thats the problem

Most places also have a security deposit. That's a lot more than an application fee.........

each place you put a application in, they ask for a fee like 35 or something like that, very few places you dont have to fork that out

Maybe they figure that if you can't afford the small application fee, then you sure as heck won't be able to afford to pay the rent.

AND.....the security deposit. Which is usually one months rent. So if you find a place with a rent of $1,000.......you usually have to fork over $2,000 up front just to move in.

in CT and surrounding areas it is 1 month rent, 1 month security depost, and last months rent all up front.

However I am looking into it and asked a realtor friend in Oregon the question awaiting a reply and I'll let you know.
