I ran out of deoderant one time, and thought it would be a good idea to use baing soda to keep from stinking. Well one of my guys was sick, and I wold up laboring all day. The baking soda acted as sand paper, and I could barely move my arms for a week afterwards

I've been in St Louis on business several times staying in the downtown area. Up to a few years ago when they got the homeless people off the streets and into shelters, there were hordes of homeless characters all over the street looking for "coffee" money. I met so many that I was itchin' and scratchin' all day long while there! Not that they never bathe, but once a year if they're luck? And the smell of bad booze? Whew!

Once a a really pretty lady and her boyfriend sat in front of my date and me, at the movies, The smell was overwhelming. I had assumed it was him, but he got up I'm guessing to buy snacks. The lady was F-U-N-K-Y. We had to leave the movies and I saw others leaving, as well. To see caked on dirt is gross, eventhough you have to admire the hard work.

I've invited some very dirty random homeless travelers to use my shower in the past... so its not like I'm paranoid on filth or negative on homeless people in general, BUT it really should be illegal for people to go so far as to get nasty rotting skin diseases, then hang out in the park downtown. It should be a pre-requisite to hanging out in such places: you must not have a contagious form of flesh eating bacteria.
Many cities have public showers for the homeless - maybe the few who let their skin rot could be encouraged into a 'hygiene program' of some sort? I mean, I -want- these people to enjoy the park - but when their skin turns green maybe they need something first....shower....topical anitbiotics.... |

What gets me is these "hippies" in this generation,do they ever wash or comb their hair? I was a hippie in the late 60's early 70's. Our motto then was" save water shower with a friend" I still practice that to this day!
