There's a lesson in my Student's Life Application Bible where a young lady writes of a verse that gives her hope. The lesson is in Psalms but references Joshua 29:11 to wit:
"Jeremiah 29:11's my source of hope for the future. It reminds me that my constant worry about college and getting over illness is unneceesary; everything that happens is part of the Lord's plan for my life. His plan is for good, not disaster and he intends to give me a future and a hope. He truly will take care of everything as I trust him. I've memorized this passage and I reming myself of them when I need to: which is almost every day!" Personally, I like verses 12, 13 & 14, too. 29:11 says "For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster to give you a future and a hope." 12: In those days when you pray I will listen 13. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me. 14. I will be found by you," says the Lord. I will end your captivity and restore your fortunes. I'll gather you out of the nations where I sent you and will bring you home again to your own land." I think these verses are beautiful. What do you think? |
