I love my friend to death he is a GREAT guy but I've noticed he can be a bit possessive. If his GF doesn't call when she is going to be late or if she doesn't call when she gets to work he thinks something is wrong and calls me to ask me what he should do.
She told him to back off a bit and give her some room to breath because he is a bit clingy but he thinks he's acting normal and doesn't see himself as such. How do you tell your friend to calm down and relax without them freaking out? I feel like i am his therapist or something. I don't want him to loose her but I'm afraid hes destroying his own relationship. |

yes the he/she's were a bit confusing... but going around that.. Your friend sounds like he has very low self-esteem... I've dealt with that and it only ruins the relationship... My friends and I are very honest and we say it like it is... "I love you but.... " and whatever it is...

the best way to help your friend is to stay out of it and let him learn its hard but it works the best

That sounds like my marraige exept she was the one doing that to me.I'd like to say it'l never work but I know nothing of your friends. In my case it was complete jeolosy on her part, if I wasn't home from work in 30 minutes I was accused of doin some girl in the restroom of some dive. There has to be trust on each side or the end result will be misery for both.
My story ends with me years after we were no longer together finding out about all the guys she was doin in the restroom of the local dive! But thats just my story your friend just sounds insecure. |
