this road is ours
it leads nowhere to our homes and far away every one has a box an address awaiting news of lives entangled up with ours some flags are up on some deserted weed choked stretch or where tiny keyed doors lie piled up upon each other on the wall in a tower's lobby take a step you can't progress by moving to another point which is the same as any other on this dusty thoroughfare where all souls rest connected by the endless string of each other this lonely road where all spirits lie nowhere |

ty mirror, puffins, muntjack and mom
this piece was inspired by kc's "nowhere" i must say i've always been struck by the idea that one simply steps out of the house in the morning and there is the path before our door and at the end of the driveway that will in fact lead us out to any other being on the planet (or anywhere else) to exactly where they are - wherever they are the path is clear. and it is as much mine as yours...it always was. and muntjack - - i'm sure i'll see you too sometime along some particular stretch you can run but you cannot hide. this is the lesson of the lonely road. |

Hey, nice write. I just wanted to thank you for replies to my poems, for some reason, it touched me the most, maybe because I haven't heard from you in a while, much peace to you.
