Have a cure for a hurting back? Two days ago I was laying down and there was a pillow behind my back. When I got up my back was pretty sore. Then today it was hurting so bad I couldn't even roll over in bed.

Make an appointment with a masseuse. It's the pinnacle of civilization. |

cut your piggy toe off your left foot, or smash a ring finger in a vice. You forget the back pain really quickly

Ibuprophen and a heating pad. Or hot bath.

Ibuprophen and a heating pad. Or hot bath. I'd prefer dealing with the pain without medication. I let hot water run on it while I was in the shower earlier, but a bath might work better. |

Put a pillow under your knees while you sleep (if you sleep on your back) it takes the stress off the low back while you are lying flat and if you lay on your side, put a pillow in between your knees, it helps keep the spine in a more straight line.
Also, could try some of the heating rubs, Icyhot or Deep Heat I hear are pretty good. I like the heating pad myself and the hot bath. The hot water in the shower is good. Gentle stretching is good, but really gentle, don't want to make it worse. Ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory and will help it if there is some inflammation causing the pain. Massage is great, maybe you could get someone to rub your back if your insurance doesn't cover it. Good luck, hope you feel better soon. |

Ibuprophen and a heating pad. Or hot bath. best bet for now.. If problem persist see a chiropractor. I have an inversion table and see a chiropractor and get deep tissue about every two weeks.. works wonders. |

Alternate between ice packs and heat 20 minutes each. If you start to feel extreme weakness, numbness or tingling in your legs get to the ER, it could be a ruptured disc. Good luck to you!
