Here's what is confusing to me is when you fill out an online job application and you have all these question air's so to speak. What confuses me is the fact that these questions most of the time have noting to do with the job your applying for that and it makes it a whole lot tougher to get into another job because of these types of systems companys are using etc.

I don't know maybe it's just me but I was and have been trying to get my foot into two different companys with next to no luck, I know one out of the two is hiring but when I called to ask if they where first before filling out an online applcication and all, the company said yes and then this one woman told me I would need to answer the questions right in order to get an interview.. which makes since but I am not the smarest to out smart these types of questions there asking.

So I guess maybe what I would like to know is there any way to out smart these damn systems ???? with all these stupied a$$ questions. ?????

It's pretty stupid...you have to answer the questions exactly the way they want you to...they tell you to answer honestly but what they really want you to do is tell them what they want to hear...so basically you have to read their minds to know how to answer. I filled one out for Sears and I didn't answer it the way they wanted so they put up a red flag and I couldn't even apply for like 6 months.
So only advice I can give is...read their minds. Not TOO hard, huh? lol

I've designed & implemented several of these sites and here is the abbreviated answer, leaving out the "geek speak".

They ask all of the questions because they are dumped directly into a database and then H.R. can search based on keywords in the applications that are submitted. Even you you aren't a fit for the current position(s), when another position opens up they can search the database for keywords that relate to that job and you may very well get a call about that job.

Hope that helps.... smokin

lol, I guess. I try to answer each question they ask to the best I can but it's tough when I have no idea what is the right or wrong answer.
