Well for me a "real man" has balance. He's not afraid to be a friend. He's not afraid to be a lover. He's not afraid to stand up for a cause. He's not afraid to show affection, compassion or empathy. He's not afraid to cry. He's not afraid to admit he can be scared too. He's not afraid of his inner child. He's not afraid to be in charge when his partner is having a moment. He's not afraid to share the load. He's not afraid to lean on his partner for support. He's not afraid to laugh (especially at himself). He's not afraid to admit something is bothering him. He's not afraid to compromise. That's what I think anyway.

A real man is one who does what he says he will do. He is caring, strong, compassionate and does not back down from his beliefs. He does not show his anger outwardly towards others or run from adversity. He communicates well and has integrity. He does not say "yes" to go along and get along and listens when you talk. He is independent and dependent when it's needed. It's very much the same thing as a "real woman".
Could not have said it better, but would add one that can show his true feelings and speak from the heart how he feels.

Hmmmmmmmmm...so Lex, are you saying the ride makes the man??? I DISAGREE!!! No, it's a roundabout reference to the inordinate and inexplicable numbers of car/cycle pics guys use. It never made any sense to me because I don't think it says anything about anybody other than "I own a vehicle," but a lot of guys seem to have their identities wrapped up in that sort of thing. My own idea of a "real man" is built more around the concept of being able to establish and maintain an honest and open 2-way communication, but that's just not a popular notion here. |

Just read your profile...again alot of what you describe there is on these lists...only problem, we who have posted our lists are too qualified for ya hun! (you state you want one younger...and that's ok, you are too young for my prefernce.)

I would never demand these things from someone I just started dating or a partner. Alot of these qualities come through trust with your partner as you grow closer together. Alot of people on here have been burned by their partners (both guys and girls). I would never ask someone to "measure up" because that would be selfish on my part. Good qualities are an attraction no matter if you're a guy or women. |

sounds from everything I have read some good some..................it is not that you are looking for that so called real man but, what is right for you.........who fits into your life needs.................for lack of a better term the perfect man (that does not mean there is a model to build from) but some one that just fits into your life and fills the appropriate voids and you there's
