How do you stop Yahoo IM from being used when people IM you from this site..I changed my account over to Hotmail and still keep getting IM's popping up from Yahoo... Here is what happened last night,

I had some asshole IM me last night at 3am and sent me a file transfer of his nub. It downloaded due to me having highspeed and was on my screen when I woke up..I'm pissed off that people somehow can IM me on Yahoo from this site and that someone could be that nasty and disgusting...I have small children that come into my room and this shi*t was on my computer...I did report and sent his pic to Yahoo, so I hope they deal with tiny.....
And yes I do keep my computer on 24-7, My other half likes to IM me often and gets worried when I'm not online....

Anybody know how to stop this?? Besides me changing my Yahoo account....I'm sick of the African scammers and the freaks that come out to play....

or maybe theres a yahoo setting or something that only allows people on your yahoo contact list to IM you.. sorta like MSN you need to accept a friend request before getting IM's.. ill look into it for you, brb!

ok hun go to "messenger" at the top of your yahoo thingy.. go down to "prefferences" .. then go down to ignore list... fill in the circle that says ignore people not on my messenger list..

problem solved hehe!!!
