Man! I heard Andre Crouch tonight for the first time since 1976. He came to a field house (gymnasium) at Fort Jackson when I was in basic training in 1076. Here it is 30 years later and this is the first time I've heard him since then.
He sang "To God be the Glory" tonight and did a bang-up job. What a singer! Do you get "stoked" when you hear good music? It can really be a thrill to me. |

two things:
I don't understand about jogging to drowning pool soldiers. Do you mean you run to where the soldiers are doing drown proofing in a pool? I saw Andre Crouch on the Trinity Broadcasting Network. It's what I watch 90 percent of the time since I found it on my TV about two weeks ago. They have a billy graham thing on right now and he sang at the beginning of it. He just wailed, wailed, wailed. It was earth shaking and spine tingling singing. You don't get that very often and I was glad to hear it. And Graham's not bad at wailing away, too. If you ever get to see his newspaper columns, read those puppies. They rock! I've learned a tremendous amount from them. |

Oh, OK. I thought it might be a band from the context. I saw a thing on CNN a week or two ago where they had this band made of four soldiers that was travelling around the war zone on helicopters. The CG was a big fan and gave them transport.
They weren't sounding real good, but CNN said they were a real morale boost and gave the troopers a lift. I think soldiers nowadays are awesome. They face a huge challenge, certainly greater challenges than I ever faced. My hat's off to all of them! |

Haven't heard top of my lungs, but it sounds interesting. I'm going to see two of my great granddaughters get baptized tomorrow. They're both in their early 20s. The older one's husband will be baptized, too. Talk about stoked, stoked, stoked!

Indeed. It's a huge answer to prayer. Now, my prayer is that the great grands, Tonni and Jessie, Tonni's husband, Aaron, their mom, Tina, and their kid, Hayliegh, grow up in and live for the Lord. They and I all need it so badly.
If anyone needs him, it's me. I'm probably the world's biggest rat. Without Christ I am nothing. With him, I am at least a little ways toward the truth. And still I feel his blessing is infinite. Pretty incredible, eh? Stoked, indeed! |
