Now, it's not that important but I'm at a crossroad in my life, as far as relationships go. The short of it is that I've been seeing a lady, but it isn't that strong of a relationship and more of a physical sort of thing.
Now, over spring break, I went to the Caribbean on a cruise, and I met an incredible lady by the name of Caroline. Now, we didn't hook up or anything, but we talked all the time we could, every day, and it was something true and incredible. Now, she was absolutely gorgeous, but I've dated more beautiful girls...but it was different. All we did was talk about life and stories, and in some ways, we gave each other insights into things we'd never thought about or had never been presented. It was different though from anything I've ever experienced with communication...it was unreal. All in all, she was incredible, and the only time I've ever felt like that about someone was after dating a girl for 10 months...and I can probably never see Caroline again, as we're both in college, but she's from Germany and I'm stationed in New York. That, and both her and I were in relationships, hers was 2 years, mine was 2 months. We both felt the same way about each other, and now I'm back in New York with a relationship that feels empty and meaningless. What should I do? I've encountered my dream girl, both beautiful and intelligent and everything I've looked for...but I can't have her. that, and I'm afraid my girlfriend is cheating on me because she keeps going out later and later with different guys, and it's just them two... Moreso, am I horrible for having expectations of both physical and emotional attraction, at the same time? |

Even hugging her gave me goosebumps, it was like an electric storm just holding her.
Don't assume me a prude though, I've been in a number of different relationships...it seems like it was one in a million. Ugh, what's wrong with me. |

what this boils down to bro is that you need out of your current relationship. You are dissatisfied. However, it would be unrealistic to go after this girl for obvious reasons (not saying you were considering it). Here's the really depressing part... Even though this may be a "one in a million" girl, these strong feelings of euphoria are only temporary amplified by the emptiness of your current relationship. It sucks not being able to ride them out and get to know her better. But those particular feelings will fade with time and grow into something else (sometimes love, sometimes nothing). Real love is earned over time. Those feelings do give us strength and motivation to better ourselves and our lives. Good luck!
