The Truth

These lines will always be empty,
My heart will always cry.
My memories are nothing but dreams,
In the world that's passed me by.

These words will mean nothing to no one,
Their meaning was lost long ago.
My thoughts are my leave on this world.
And yet they have nothing to show.

My soul, I have spilled on the pages,
The words have leaked from my heart.
Time has yellowed the pages,
And I never did play my part.

And though time may seem of the essence,
In truth, the past has already been sown.
And the future is only a memory,
To those of us... Who are alone.
