What Is It

It isn't a foundation
But rather a home,
Not really a feeling,
It needs something to hold.

What comes from the heart,
Depicts a picure of care,
Just like a mist
It grows heavy with air.

Wafting like whisper
Sometimes spoken and gone,
Maybe a tempest
Once raged like a storm.

It's value much prized,
A fine work of art
And damaged like china
When it shatters the heart.

Like an important decision
That's finally made,
Falls apart sometimes
As promises fade.

They say it's a flower
So pretty and dies,
Living on dew drops
And wilts with some time.

Some say it's a curse
Or blessing of sorts
I'll tend it with care
Till forever's no more.
