Topic: the loss of a loved one | |

My son lost his dog this past week. It has been hard on all of us. Cougar was my oldest sons dog. He misses him so much. I think he is a little depressed.
What is something I can do to cheer my son up? He is 15yrs old. |

Buy Him a New Dog ?! mmmmmhhhmmmmmmmmmm?!?!?!?!??! this could back fire big time that is like telling a mother just have another kid (to the child) you need to sit down and talk to him about death do not need to go into big detail just let him know things happen that we do not like it is a shame he is going through it but it does happen let him decide to get another one |

Thank you, for all your responses. I think that I'll wait till he is ready to get a new dog. He is morning over his best friend right now. I played some video games with him and we sat and talked. Yes, we cried too.
Thanks Again, for the advise. <~~~~~~ This is Cougar btw |

Learning to handle grief is a part of life.
I just lost my last dog, she was Gwen's last baby, thus a last connection with my wife. I remember the good times & silly things that happened. I will always have them both in my heart. Memories are ways of honoring our lost loved ones. |
