I tell people off line I have online friends all the time-
if I had an online relationship- yep I would tell them about it. Some say my friendships arent real on line. I beg to differ with them! My firends on line are very real!!! On a side not: Not all online relationships are only on line. Quite a few are acually seeing each other too in real life while dating on line! |

The only friends I have are 158 multi colored "little" people. They would just repeat what I said, so it really wouldn't be worth it to tell them...

Until I met the person face to face, no I wouldn't tell them where we met... then maybe... I'm not a long distance kinda girl tho.... So internet dating someone from a long way away isn't going to work for me... I can flirt and have fun and have friends... but I don't consider it a relationship, until we have a normal face to face thing going on....

I have deleted quite a few posts from this thread. It is never acceptable to insult a person for posting a topic they are curious about. If something is wrong with the topic, the only appropriate venue is to use the report abuse feature, and a moderator will check into the issue. Further this has turned to religion bashing somewhat, which is also against forum rules. Please help us keep the forums fun for everyone by observing the rules. Thanks everyone, Mark |

Yes. Of course, until we met in person, my friends and family called him "the guy from Oregon" and I admit I did the same when talking to them about him. Now, since I met him in person, we all use his name when I talk about him. Which is a good thing, I'd hate to introduce him to my mother like this, "Mom... this is the guy from Oregon..."
My friends have learned I'm going to do what I want and I think they might finally believe me I really found a good one this time..... because I wasn't looking. He was jist so darn cute and his posts! Oh bestill my beating heart... |

I don't have online relationships. I have online friendships. Relationships have to be in person, face to face for me. So it isn't so much an issue. I've no problem with telling people about online friendships.

I tell my friends i talk to people, meet people i've talked to online. Haven't had an ongoing relationship with anyone. At my age my friends don't really understand it. They think i'm crazy.
