it's always been my experience that most homeschooled kids were a little odd smart, yes. odd, usually. slightly brainwashed by parents, most likely Well some may be a little "odd" but then "normal" may not be so good either. There is plenty of attemptted "brainwashing" going on in public schools as well. My daughter was taught to look for the other side of the issue, not seek facts from different sources & not blindly accept. Even though she went to public school, I supplemented her education with plenty of reading material & limiting trashy TV. She is 25 has 2 degrees & edits for a major paper now. She certainly wasn't "normal"< I am glad of that! |

well are there creditable schools on the net
and if they can pass the public school tests then there should be no issue the only thing i have noticed with home schooling being bad is the slower developing social skills |

My granddaughter is home schooled, she is 6, she has had 4 open heart surgeries and has an artifical valve in her heart. She don't need to be around a bunch of kids in a classroom who are sick half the time.

This website is full of intelligent, thoughtful people. I am so glad I found it! I never expect people to agree with me, but I do really enjoy meaningful discussion. Yeah for Brains!
