just because someone is a convicted sex offender does not mean they are a bad egg. There is a wide range of crimes that can force a person to have to register that are actually quite innocent

true. like that crock of **** Dateline: To Catch a a Predator show. That show is borderline entrapment. Perverted Justice Inc. is just that....a perversion of justice.

I know a guy who is 28 he kissed a girl who was 16, he took a 4th degree felony plea as to not disrupt his and his families lives so he has to register... I mean how bad is that to kiss a 16 year old.... but he's a sex offender now....

What if it was your 16 year old? A kiss, as innocent as it may seem, can evolve into much more. And he's married?!?! Sounds more like that could be a case of teaching the guy a lesson before he went too far.

I'm sorry I forgot to say that the 16 y o claimed to be 19...and he had witnesses that could testify to that. And by family I mean his parents and sisters.

I counted 21 total 17-18 (many of those provisional) and 29 totals of age 16. Im not sure whether you misunderstand the definition of "most" or didnt read your own reference clearly.

I was going off of memory from a class a couple of years ago, but you are completely correct. I was wrong. Sorry, and thanks for bringing me up to speed. I guess my memory failed me on that one, lol

Lily made a comment earlier that I agree with. We really should not be so upset about the sexually oriented offenders living within our communities. Those are only the ones we know about. Not to mention that fact that we do not know the circumstances of the offense that caused the need to register in the first place. The recidivism rate for sexual offenders is much less than that of other criminals. I'm not saying that excuses what they did, but I'm more worried about the burglars, robbers, and such.

flowerforyou People like that belong no where near normal people and no I dont believe someone who gets off on hurting people deserves another chance to do it again, they should be locked away for good.

I think they should be shot!!!

i agree with the above.

rape takes away part of your life, for me it took years of my life away, and neally killed me, with the depression because of it after.

im over it now, but ill never forget, it will always haunt me, and there will always be situations when someone says something that reminds you about it, and brings it all back.

rapists should be shot.

I agree that anyone who forces themself on another, whether it they be male, or female deserve the harshest punishment possible. That being said, it is all the vindictive false accusations that occur that make it impossible to condemn a person to the gallows prior to a fair trial, or plea. I personally know 3 people who were wrongly accused, not to mention the latest, greatest example......DUKE LACROSS

i dont want to go into to much detail, but when this happened to me he did ejaculate, but because he was so brutal i was dripping with blood, ive never saw so much blood in my life, and that can take away some evidence. so yes it can be hard to prove i agree, im just giving a example why sometimes its hard to prove.

I am so sorry for what happened to you Debbie. Anyone who brutalizes another deserves nothing less than what you suggested earlier. I am just saying that false accusations do happen, and this makes it so much harder for the true victims who do deserve justice to prevail

i agree there is false accusations made, and its hard to prove. with me it wasnt hard to prove, because i was dripping, with blood, well more like pouring out. also i have a lot of womens problems now, most likely a result of internal damage because he was so brutal. now he deserves shooting. because as a result of this damage i may never be able to get pregnant, and also i will be in severe pain for life.
