You can defend you super human racistvision all you want. It still doesn't make it fact and doesn't make it truth. Maybe you should use your super vision to look in a dictionary to make sure you are using words properly. What did I misspell something? What???? I read back and I am perfectly understandable. |

the use of your word truth. It has to be a proven and accepted fact to be a truth. You claim of him being racist is neither.

What an utter waste of time trying to debate such a closed minded person. Just like a Springer guest, it's blah blah blah blah blah over you while you are trying to talk.
Close minded because you only want people to listen to what you have to say, but will not take into consideration to what they have to say. You are set in your mind that you are right, everyone else is wrong, and you think they should bend to you but not the other way around. The people of New Orleans made their own grief. Instead of leaving, they stayed because they are used to the Government doing everything for them. Then instead of trying to make the best of the predicament they were in, they looted, vandalized, intimidated and took advantage of the weak and scared. Raping, stealing, destroying property. Acting worst than animals. How can you overlook all the pillaging that was done? Are you acceptable to the actions of breaking in and stealing? Rape? Murder? I suppose you will try to find some type of argument to blame the Government for that too. I had friends there who were shot at trying to help people. One friend used his own boat to try and get people out only to have a knife pulled on him and thrown out of his boat when he did rescue someone. How is it the Government's fault when you are dealing with criminals who prefer to take advantage of the situation instead of helping out? In my opinion, they only made matters worse and more difficult because of it. You can't help people who don't want to help themselves.. bottom line. The only reason New Orleans was such a focal point of Hurricane Katrina was the damage and plight created by the people who know nothing more than how to cause trouble and hold their hands out for Government assistance. The media controlled what you saw. Did they spend as much time in Mississippi showing how they were putting themselves back together? No. Good news does not equal good press. I respect the Governor of Mississippi for not waiting on assistance and taking responsibility for themselves. The people of New Orleans lack that responsibility. Just take a look at what is going on there now. Open your eyes and quit blaming the Government. They could have helped themselves more than they did. Everyone else in the surrounding areas did, as did the people who were devastated by Hurricane Rita. Same Government; same Administration.... just more responsible people who took care of their own problems instead of standing around waiting for someone to do it for them. Enough... I'm through with this s**t. Until you have lived it, don't say anything. You only show your ignorance. Oh, and as for racists.... Who is more racist than Rev. Jackson, and Al Sharpton? Give me a break... you don't have to be white to be racist...... |

you'll come to find there is no debating with her. She relies on false claims and when confronted she refused to accept the facts and instead digs up all sorts of propaganda from Bush bashing sites... |

I'm not going to comment on the whole race thing.
The facts are that the Federal Government failed the people of Katrina on Bush's watch. Michael Brown was the Director of FEMA. He was a Republican appointee whose only prior qualifications for this position was that he had judged Arabian horses. Now tell me, how does judging Arabian horses qualify someone to be head of a Federal disaster agency? You can go into what the state should have done, etc..., but the fact was that Michael Brown didn't do his job, coupled with the fact that many of the National Guard troops, which should have been in New Orleans keeping order, were over in Iraq. |

They could not go away from their homes. The ones who could leave left. As for my opinion which is very valid. I can tell what I see. I see prejudice and it is there. You can choose to be so closed minded that you will not see that which I do, that is your choice. As for debating I do not mind debating, I will not entertain the personal insults which uneducated people call debating. Bush shows his care of black folks, just like you have on here, that they deserve whatever bad happens to them and this is very ignorant and prejudice. As for prejudice on both sides you are right and two wrongs do not make it right, but just as you have shown your prejudice on this post, more whites are guilty of it then any other race. |

Your quote:
"Oh and here you show your ignorance. Poor people can go where? When you have no place to go you cannot go. They could not go away from their homes. The ones who could leave left. As for my opinion which is very valid. I can tell what I see. I see prejudice and it is there. You can choose to be so closed minded that you will not see that which I do, that is your choice. As for prejudice on both sides you are right and two wrongs do not make it right, but just as you have shown your prejudice on this post, more whites are guilty of it then any other race." First off, the poor people couldn't leave because of bad decision making in part of the Mayor of the city not wanting to use buses to evacuate them. Secondly, I never said black folks as you state. There were whites there also. You don't have to be black to rely on the government for all of your needs as you are trying to put words in my mouth. Thirdly, and foremost, you have no right to say I am prejudice as you know nothing about me. You went against your own words, so I guess you have shown that you are as uneducated as you state: "As for debating I do not mind debating, I will not entertain the personal insults which uneducated people call debating". You just called me uneducated, and again know nothing about me. I am not or have I ever been prejudice. My ex-wife had a bi-racial child, and I loved and raised him as my own. I even met his father and we got along just fine. Therefore, you have insulted me and proven your own ignorance. I am sure if I would have agreed with you, you would have given me the flowers smiley also. Instead since I have given an opposing view, I get cut down and belittled... Who's showing their prejudice now? |

If Katrina was Bush's fault then i thank him, on behalf of the citizens of the United States, for not sending more hurricanes...
except Rita, and maybe a few in Florida <gasps> someone must have angered him... |
|
|
|
seems like if bush was gonna send a hurricane
he would have sent it to a big blue state <<---they are watching |
|
|

The poor people did have places to go. There were evacuation shelters all over the place. Louisiana has a whole system set up for these kinds of things. My aunt and cousins got stuck in traffic and couldn't get far enough in time so they had to spend a few days in an evac shelter.

I find it interesting that the only thing people talk about concerning Katrina is New Orleans. Mississippi and Alabama were hit just as hard and you never hear a word about those areas. You also don't hear about the rest of Louisiana. Why do you suppose that is? Most of the people who live in the areas you referenced that we do not hear about are white. |

And as a matter of fact, New Orleans did need federal aid. The city wasn't safe, gangs were taking over. My cousin has a friend whose dad is in the CIA. Martial Law was declared in New Orleans and the CIA had some "shoot on sight" missions where they knew gangs were hanging out. |
