Raven's Call

I've cast you away
And yet you remain,
What do you wish,
You can't take my pain.

You stand there and stare
With cold knowing eyes,
Yet you say nothing
And I hold no surprise.

If you're waiting for something,
Please tell me or leave,
Let me alone
Or your spirit will grieve.

Don't pretend that you know me,
For I am not dead,
I know you're not here
For the tears I've unshed.

Oh bird of the shadows
Why cling you to me?
I am part spirit
Though I cease to yet be.

You cannot take me
Where spirits will roam,
I am not willing,
So I bid you to go!

Your scream taunts my anger,
Your laugh hurts my ear,
You're awaking my dragon,
Still you've no fear.

The twilight upon us
As the sun fades from sky,
You are still here
And I am wondering why.

My dragon awakes,
Speaking peace to my rage,
Then whispers to me,
"Spirit, please listen in haste."

From out of the darkness
Where rage is subdued
I quietly listen
As whispers speak truth.

Awakened in dream
So vivid and real,
A whisper speaks out
and it's power I feel.

I'm beckoned to circle
Where elders now stand,
They welcome me in
And lead me by hand.

I see visions untold
As the bird changes form,
Now tears leave my eyes
As I am reborn.

umm do i hear alittle anger in that poem? was that directed towards someone?

While anger is part of the story, it was not directed toward anyone.
